Argument

"So how's things with Josh?" Brett teased as they restocked the ambulance. It had been a few weeks since they'd met, Upton and Kyle we're back at work and Logan had let the relationship slip.
"Good." Eliza said with a smile, only remembering the positives.
"How's the head?" Brett asked.
"Better. I forget less." Eliza said with a shrug. "I've not forgotten anything on a call for a while, touch wood."
"I'm here if you ever need to talk." Brett said with a small smile. If she told the truth then she had noticed changes in Eliza's behaviour recently, she was quieter, ate less, constantly getting texts.
"I will do." Eliza said.
Ambulance 61...

"Have you noticed anything off with Eliza recently?" Brett asked Kidd as they sat in Mollys.
"Not really." Kidd Said with a shrug.

"What'd do you fancy then?" Josh asked looking at the menu.
"I'm thinking about chicken." Eliza said.
"You sure? We don't want you getting any fatter do we now?" Josh Said.
"Actually, I'll just have a salad." Eliza said with a smile.
"Good choice." Josh Said, placing his hand over hers.

"Why have you?" Kidd asked.
"I think I'm just making it up. She just seems to be more.." she paused to think of the right word.
"Quiet?" Kidd asked. "I noticed that, didn't think much of it though."

"So how was your day?" Eliza asked as they waited for their food.
"Meh." Josh Said with a shrug.
"Anything interesting?" Eliza asked, trying to start conversation.
"God, can you talk any more?" Josh Said.
"Sorry." Eliza said, looking down at her hands.

"What do you thinks going on?" Kidd asked.
"I'm not sure, I don't want to make assumptions and wreck anything." Brett said, looking at her drink.
"You think Josh has something to do with it?" Kidd asked.
"Who knows." Brett said with a shrug.

I'm sorry if I've been a bit snappy with you." Josh Said, placing his hand on her hip as they went back to the car.
"Don't worry about it." Eliza smiled.
"How about I make it up to you? You got any vacation time?" Josh Asked.
"I've got a couple days, why what you planning?" Brett asked.
"A surprise." Josh Said, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead. "When can you get time off?"
"In a couple weeks? How long should I get off?" Eliza asked.
"We'll go for a long weekend so I'll pick you up when you come off shift on whatever day and we'll stay till the Sunday night?" Josh offered.
"Next Friday? I'll take Sundays shift off then I don't have to be back till the Wednesday?" Eliza thought.
"Sounds like a plan." Josh Said, placing his hand behind her head and kissing her lips with some force before deepening the kiss.

"You want to go on holiday with this guy?!" Kyle half shouted.
"Yeah, I'm not a kid anymore, I can do whatever I want!" Eliza shouted back.
"El, aren't you moving a bit fast?" Logan Said, his voice edging on a shout.
"Says you." Eliza said with a scoff.
"I just don't think it's a good idea to spend however many days with a guy you've only been to dinner with." Kyle said.
"Well I'm going to whether you like it or not." Eliza said.
"I don't like it, I don't like it one bit." Kyle stated. Eliza stood up and grabbed her phone. "Where are you going?" Kyle asked, his voice covered in annoyance.
"I don't know yet." Eliza said, walking out the door.

"Hey." Brett Called, running after her partner through the halls of 51.
"Hey." Eliza said, stopping to look at Brett.
"What's going on with you and Logan?" Brett asked, almost everyone in the house had noticed the tension between the twins.
"I had an argument with him and Kyle yesterday." Eliza said.
"What about?" Brett asked, leading her towards the bunk room.
"Josh is taking me away next week, I'm only taking one shift off." Eliza explained. "But they wouldn't let me go, they were treating me like a child so I walked out."
"Where did you stay last night?" Brett asked.
"With Josh." Eliza said.
"Where does Jacob stand on this?" Brett asked.
"He's the only one that text me last night to make sure I was okay." Eliza shrugged.
"You gonna try and talk to them?" Brett asked, hoping the answer would be yes.
"I'm fed up of being treated like I'm still a kid." Eliza said, shaking her head. "Josh says I can crash at his for as long as I need to."
"As long as you've got somewhere to stay." Brett said with a kind, caring smile.
"Yeah, todays Jakes day off so he said he would drop some of my stuff here for me." Eliza said.
"Chambers, Jacobs here." Kidd Said, sticking her head around the door. "You might want to get ou there before Logan kills him."
"Great." Eliza said running off in the direction of raised voices.
"What's going on?" Kidd asked Brett.
"She's moved in with him." Brett said, looking at Kidd anxiously.
"Logan! Don't bring Jake into this. He's just doing me a favor." Eliza said, getting in between her two brothers.
"Do you know where she's staying?" Logan Asked, his voice still slightly raised.
"I'm staying with Josh okay. Because he doesn't treat me like a teenager." Eliza said to Logan before taking the bag off of Jacob. "Thanks." She Said.
"Great." Logan Said storming off.
