"Look, I'm not saying I'm okay with you going but no matter what I tell you you're going to go anyway." Jacob said as he sat opposite Eliza in a small coffee shop. "So just promise me you'll keep in touch, text me everyday, even if it's just an emoji. I just want to know you're okay."
"Okay, I will, I promise." Eliza said.
That was Friday afternoon a couple hours before Eliza had gone on her trip with Josh.
Now it's Monday night and no ones heard from her since Friday.

"Hey, Herrmann." Jacob said, walking into Mollys. "Is Brett here?"
"She is at the other end of the bar." Herrmann Said. "Can I get you a drink?"
"I won't be staying long." Jacob said, walking off to find his sisters partner. "Hey Brett, can I talk to you outside for a minute." He Said, interrupting her conversation with her roommates.
"I'll be one second." Brett said, excusing herself, noticing the worried look on Jacobs face. "What's going on? Is Eliza okay?" She asked once they got outside.
"I don't know, she was meant to text me everyday but I haven't heard from her since Friday night." Jacob said, beginning to pace the sidewalk.
"You think something's happened?" Brett Said, placing a hand on his arm to calm him down.
"No, maybe, I don't know." Jacob said, running a hand through his hair.
"When was she meant to come back?" Brett asked.
"Today, So She could come back to work tomorrow." Jacob said.
"You've checked Josh's apartment?" She asked.
"Yep, no ones there." Jacob said. "I've just got a feeling, somethings not right."
"Do you know where they went?" Brett asked, Jacob shook his head.
"He was surprising her." Jacob said.
"Have you tried speaking to Kyle about it?" She asked.
"He doesn't want anything to do with Josh. I was hoping you would've spoken to her or known something?" Jacob asked desperation dripping in his tone.
"No, and this is not like her at all." Brett said, sensing how worried he was. "Look, go home get some sleep, if she's not at work tomorrow I'll call in a favor and get her phone tracked."
"Thank you." Jacob said, "Thank you so much." He Said before walking away.
"What was that about?" Kidd asked as Brett walked back into Mollys.
"He thinks Eliza is missing." Brett said quietly.
"Isn't she with..." Kidds voice fades out as she remembered there conversation from a few weeks ago. "Oh shit..."
"Yep." Brett said.
"Hey Brett, you spoken to Chambers?" Casey said coming up to the pair.
"Eliza? I haven't Why?" Brett said, glancing at Kidd as she turned to face Casey.
"Chief says she called up and took this shift off as well." Casey said shrugging it off before ordering another round from Kidd. Kidd didn't even notice Brett walk away.
"Jay, can I talk to you for a second?" Brett Asked as she reached the table he was sat at with so,e of the PD lot.
"Sure, what's up?" Jay asked, allowing himself to be led away from the table and towards a quieter part of the bar.
"How quickly can you trace a number?" She asked.
"Depends on the urgency." He paused. "What's going on?"
"You can't say anything." Brett warned. "I think Eliza's boyfriend is holding her hostage."
"What evidence have you got?" Jay asked, slightly shocked by the statement. After Brett had told him everything he spoke again. "It does seem odd, it does sound like he was mentally abusing her..." he paused. "You say no ones heard from her?"
"She called Chief Boden to get tomorrow off apparently." Brett said.
"I'll go to the precinct now and track her phone, if it looks suspicious I'll call the team in." Jay Said, walking back over to the table and grabbing his jacket.
"Keep me in the loop." Brett asked as he turned for the door.
"I will do." Jay Said leaving.

I should've said something to Boden, made sure he knew something was wrong.
But Josh loves you, he cares about you.
Eliza slowly opened her swollen, black eyes and took in her surroundings. That was when she heard Josh, happily snoring away next to her.
This is it, I could go.
Eliza shifted slightly so she was sat up. She swung her legs out of the bed and tiptoed towards the door.
"Now, where do you think you're going?" A voice asked from behind her, Eliza froze.
"Just going to get a drink." She Said, still not daring to turn around and look at him.
"Sure." Josh Said, rolling his eyes. "You need to realise I'm doing all this for you." He Said getting out of the bed. "That this is what you want, right you little slut?" Eliza didn't answer. "I'm sorry I didn't hear you, I think that means you don't understand." He Said, easily picking her up and throwing her onto the bed. "You want this right?" He Said, slightly louder as he removed his boxers.
"Eliza!" A voice could be heard from outside.
"Who the fuck is that?" Josh muttered angrily. "You didn't call anyone did you?" Eliza shook her head, still not speaking.
"Eliza!" The voice came again, only closer. Eliza wanted to call out to the vaguely familiar voice but she found a hand clamped over her mouth before she could.
"Stay right there." Josh warned before getting off of her and walking towards the door, locking it behind him. "Can I help you?" Joshs voice sounded like a whisper in the distance as Eliza stood up and pulled her pyjama bottoms back up and fixed her top with shaky hands.
"Is Eliza here?" The voice asked,Eliza desperately  searched her brain to put a name to the voice.
"She is not." Josh Said.
"What is your name sir?" The voice asked, Eliza could swear she knew him.
"None of your business." Josh snapped, the sound of the door closing made Eliza back into the corner.
"Chicago PD, I need to see an ID sir." That was when Eliza put a name to the voice.
