"Hayes.?"
"Yes Poobear.?"
"You do know how long it is until I have to leave right.?"
"Yeah a week.. don't remind me."
"Its so unfair." Matt says with a sniffle.
"What is.?"
"I mean you're a senior. Just don't do band."
"I've been in band for 6 years Matt I can't just..."
Before I can finish he gets up and leaves.
"Matt.!"
Hot tears began to roll down my face. I push my face into Hayes' shirt. I look up and see a stain on his shirt were my tears had soaked into his shirt.
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay babe." he strokes my hair and I instantly feel better. Sort of.
"I have an idea.!"
"For what.?" Hayes asks.
"Hold up. But I need to ask Liza something."
I run into Liza's room and jump on her.
"What are you so happy about.?" she groans and pushes me off.
"Let's just quit band. Not show up."
"What.? After 6 years..?"
"I know, band is our lives. But we are making a new life over here."
She thinks about it for a moment then nods. I shriek and hug her.
"Thanks bb.!"
"Haha go call your mom poobear. And my mom while your at it."

I pace back and forth making scenarios of what i should say. My mom probably will explode in my face. Or tell me to come back tomorrow. Ugh.
*call from momma bear* (a/n i have a thing for bears)
"Uh hi.?"
"Karyme, it's okay. You can stay.."
"What.? How did you know.?"
"Hayes texted me."
"Oh my god. Haha okay."
"He said it was suppose to be a surprise."
"Ha okay. Love you mom bye."
I didn't care that its that suppose to be a surprise I run to Hayes and kiss him.
"What was that for.?"
"Oh. You know." I gave him a look.
"Haha I told her it was suppose to be a surprise."
"Imma go tell bb."
I once again jump on Liza. She gives me the look she gave me earlier. I tell her the news and she is as excited as I am.
The last person I have to tell is Matt. I walk to his room and his door is closed. So I knock.
"Matt.." there is a long silence.
"Matt. Open the door." He finally opens it. His eyes are red and puffy.
"Have you been crying.?" i already knew that he was.
"No." He rubs his eyes. "What do you want." I am honestly surprised at the way he is talking to me.
"Well um. Im not going home."
"Until when another week.?"
"No. Im gonna live here."
He grabs me and hugs me. Tight. "Ha Matt. I can't breathe."
He laughs and lets go. He looks into my eyes and my lips. "Matt.. don't." then he instantly lets go of me.
"Uh. Sorry."

Later when everyone is home me and Liza tell everyone the news.
We all get into a group hug and we celebrate by swimming in the back yard.
As I am sitting down Matt walks up to me.
"Sup best friend.?" i say.
"I just wanna apologize for earlier."
"Its okay."
"I love you."
"I love you too.."
"But in a friend way."
"Well yeah."
"Okay. I might be able to live with that."
