21. Giving Up On Love.

I can feel,
My heart slipping,
Back into its old ways.
It's used to lots of love and care.
But now you've gone away.
It's hard to say this,
But my heart is in dismay.
You used to care.
You used to fill my heart with love.
But now it's empty.
Like four bare walls,
With no furniture,
No home.
No visitors or loved ones.
I used to carry lots of love,
But now I'm running empty.
Just the word itself,
Doesn't sound appealing.
I don't believe in love anymore,
Not for me anyways.
They come and go,
And say their piece,
And lure me in.
Then leave me.
So I'm done with love.
An empty casket.
My heart is fully empty.
