"I need your shitty advice." I say when Michael opens his front door.
"Hey! My advice isn't shitty, you're shitty." Michael gasps, offended.
"And so are your insults." I jokingly roll my eyes as I lay down on Michael's couch.
"You wouldn't be here if my advice was really that shitty."
"True." I laugh.
"Now what's the problem?" Michael says, moving my legs on his lap so he can sit down.
"It's about Ashton and Luke." I tell him.
Ashton and I apologized after our small fight and I agreed to stay away from Luke. I only said I would because I knew it would make Ashton happy and I know it bothers him when Luke hangs around me.
It's been three days and I haven't heard from Luke, nor have I seen him. I guess that helps with the whole "stay away from Luke" thing, but I still hate it. I haven't really had the chance to tell him about this and I don't plan on it, mostly because I don't want to witness his reaction and have yet another fight stir up between those two.
"Are they still at war?" Michael rolls his eyes.
"Yep, and now Ashton wants me to stay away from Luke."
"I would've never introduced you if I knew they would be fighting over you like this." He sighs.
"They're not exactly fighting over me if they're not even speaking to each other." I point out.
"Maybe I should've set you and Luke up instead." Michael smiles.
"You're not helping." I groan.
"I'm just saying, you wouldn't be so stressed over this if you didn't care about Luke." He shrugs.
"I care about Luke as a friend." I sit up so I can look at Michael.
"You keep telling yourself that." He mumbles.
I sigh, "Just tell me what I should do."
"Personally, I think you should do whatever the fuck you want."
"That's advice I'm all for, but I don't want to hurt the ones I care about." I put my head in my hands out of frustration. I just wish they both would stop being so relentless and just be nice. I hate being put in the middle.
Sometimes I wish I could be as carefree as Michael is but I'm not. I spend too much time worrying about things, especially when it comes to people I don't want to lose.
"AKA, Luke." Michael whispers.
"And Ashton." I add, looking back up to scowl at Michael, who has a smug look on his face.
Michael opens his mouth to probably add another comment about Luke, but immediately shuts it when he hears his front door open. I swallow the lump in my throat when I see who it is.
Michael looks at us both with a wide grin, "I don't think you'll be needing me." He stands from the couch and I give him a look, begging him to stay in the room at least, but he just wiggles his eyebrows and leaves.
"Hey, Luke." I force a smile.
"What was that about?" Luke says, pointing in the direction Michael ran off to.
"I just needed some advice." I say softly, picking at the fuzz on one of the couch cushions.
"About what?" Luke takes a seat next to me.
"Stuff..." I mumble. I'm afraid to admit what I'm so unsure about, but it's as if Luke can read my mind.
"I know Ashton told you to stay away from me."
