"Calum?" Luke and I say almost in unison when we spot Calum entering the bedroom. I look at Luke, wondering if he invited him but he just shrugs.

I haven't seen Calum in forever. I've mostly been hanging out with the rest of the guys so I don't really know what to think about this. Luke obviously didn't invite him. Is the fact that these guys seem to walk in on each other at the most random times just a thing guys do? I guess when you become super close all manners go out the window.

The surprised look on Calum's face shows he wasn't expecting to see me sitting next to Luke when he came over.

"Oh, hey mate, I actually need to talk to you about something." He says slowly. "But I guess it can wait until later."

"You might as well tell me now since you're already here." Luke rolls his eyes.

"It's about..." Calum's eyes flick to me before quickly returning to Luke. "Bree." He mumbles.

"What about her?" Luke's uninterested expression changes when I become the subject of this. I had a lingering feeling I was most likely what Calum intended on talking about seeing the way he was nervously looking at me when he got here.

"Well, this kind of includes Ash too."

Luke lets out a groan at the sound of Ashton's name, "Let me guess, he's pissed at me for making his girlfriend leave the party."

"Not his girlfriend." I mumble as a reminder but Luke only glances at me. Ashton and I are pretty close to being a couple but we haven't exactly taken that next step.

"Yeah..." Calum gives Luke a sheepish smile, rocking back on his heels.

"Is this all you had to tell me? I don't really give a fuck if Ashton is pissed at me. Next time he should let me know himself instead of making you his messenger." Luke says coldly and I feel bad for Calum. This really isn't his fault he's only passing a message on from Ashton.

I really hate this, witnessing Ashton and Luke act like this towards each other. Ashton can't even bother to come here himself to tell Luke how he feels about this. This only leaves me feeling somewhat guilty since I'm the root of the problem. I always seem to be the root of the problem between those two now.

"Ashton also wanted me to tell you to stay away from Bree." Calum adds and Luke clenches his jaw.

"And you really think I'm going to listen to what he tells me?" Luke scoffs.

"Well...no, but-"

"Exactly, so you can go tell Ashton I said fuck off." Luke crosses his arms. I shoot him a look for being so heartless about this but he doesn't notice since he's too busy glaring at Calum, who, again, isn't at fault with this.

"Whatever, mate." Calum mumbles, turning to leave. "See ya, Bree."

"See ya." I sheepishly smile, as a way of silently apologizing for Luke's behavior. Calum returns it with a small shrug.

"Who does he think he is?" Luke blurts out the second Calum is gone.

"Ashton?"

"No, my dog." He answers, sarcasm laced in his voice. "Yes Ashton!"

"You don't need to be so harsh." I scowl at Luke as he stares off into space with the same expression I hold.

"Are you really going to let Ashton treat you like some prize?" Luke questions, returning his gaze to me.

"He's not treating me like a prize." I argue. Ashton is only being a little protective. I don't read it as being treated like the last cookie in the cookie jar but Luke always sees Ashton as the bad guy no matter what he does. The guy could end world hunger and Luke would find something wrong about that.
