It's the end of May, so this gives me a few months until Michael and I find out who wins this bet. I haven't really thought about what I'll be having Michael do as his prize for losing. It's definitely going to be hell for him though.

Of course I'm not going to rush anything with Ashton just because I have a bet going on because I truly do care about him. This is just some silly bet anyway, which is something I probably shouldn't tell Ashton about. It would hurt him to find out I'm betting on the odds of our relationship and that would most likely ruin anything we had going for us.

My phone rings in my lap and I immediately feel my heart race as I read the name on the screen.

"Hello?" I put the phone to my ear, leaning against the wall next to my bed.

"Hey, babe! Uh- I mean, Bree." Ashton says nervously, bringing a blush on to my cheeks at the sound of him calling me 'babe'.

"You called me babe." My smile widens as I hear it fall out of my own lips.

"Uh, yeah, sorry, that kind of slipped." Ashton apologizes, but he doesn't really need to.

"You don't have to apologize." I laugh. "I kind of like it."

"You do?" I can hear the smile that's probably on Ashton's face at the moment.

"Yeah." I answer, playing with the hem of my shirt, the smile on my face still present.

"Well, babe, I actually have a question to ask you." He calls me babe once again and I react just about the same way.

"And what is this question?"

"I'm having a small get-together tonight and I was wondering if you would like to come maybe?" The way he sound all nervous and cautious around me is absolutely adorable.

"Yeah, I would love to. Anything to get me out of this house." I groan.

My mom and I just recently got into another fight. I think it's appropriate we start keeping score because the arguments are just getting more frequent the more we're around each other.

It was over the stupidest thing and I still can't believe an argument even happened. She was angry that I've spent most of my time here away from the family. I don't think it's that big of a deal since she can't seem to stand anything I do when we're near each other anyway, but apparently she does.

This resulted in a ten minute argument and I finally ended it by walking away, confining myself to my room. I've been just sitting on my bed for hours so I won't have to go out there and face my mother, who will probably try to instigate another fight. I feel horrible for having this type of relationship with her but it's just so hard to get along with her at all no matter how hard I try.

"Did you and your mom get into another fight?" Ashton questions. I've told him about my not so great relationship with my mom all the times I sat and vented to him about it. I always feel like I'm just burdening my problems on him but he's a great listener and always helps me calm down.

I sigh, "Yep, I'm just so tired of it, Ash."

"I know, but you'll feel better once you come over here."

"I should probably run it by my mom, though. I don't want to cause any more problems by sneaking out." I tell him.

"Okay, well hopefully I'll see you later tonight." Ashton says, hopeful.

"Me too." I say quietly.

"Bye, babe." Ashton chuckles.

The smile on my face returns, "Bye."
