|| Shane's POV ||

"Addison.. Let me in." I've been sitting in front of Addison's door for an hour listening to her sob her eyes out, and I've hated every minute of it. She won't let anyone in, but I can't just leave her by herself.

Her mom came up here half an hour ago to ask what happened and Addison couldn't even say it, not like I blame her. I just wish I could do something, it breaks my heart to see her like this. When I tried giving her phone back she just closed her door to cry more.

But I think it's a good thing she doesn't have it. Ryan has texted her about 20 times.

Addison, I'm really sorry about this but I just need to work on myself. I love you so much.. But I need to love myself so I can love you even more. I just hope you can forgive me, and that life gives us a second chance.. Sometimes the timing is just wrong.

This is Shane, I don't think right now is the right time to try to talk to Addison. She didn't take your news well. If I were you I would just wait until she's ready to talk. Goodbye until then.

|| Addison's POV ||

I finally open the door to let Shane in and I can't even say anything without choking up. I let him in and sit on the bed with him. He hands me my phone and I read the messages Ryan sent me and Shane's response. I nod after reading them and we sit in silence for what feels like forever, until I can't take it no more and just cling to him, sobbing.

"How can he do that to me?"
"Do what Addie?"
"How can he say he loves me and then break up with me like it's nothing!"

I start sobbing harder and harder to where I can barely hear Shane's sweet nothings, trying to calm me down. After a while I have no more tears coming out and we lay down and I eventually fall asleep.

A few hours later I wake up to find Shane sitting beside me, "Good morning Sleeping Beauty, I hope you slept well. Sorry if I startled you, I just didn't think you'd wanna be alone when you woke up." I run my eyes and lay my head on his leg, "No, I didn't.. Thank you for staying." He smiles at me and nods, "Do you wanna go do something? I could take you somewhere to eat? You're mom said it was a fend-for-yourself night." I nod and tell him to wait for me downstairs while I get ready. He nods, and heads downstairs.

After washing my face and changing into joggers and a plain white t-shirt I head down the stairs. We make our way to the car and decide where to go, after a few minutes I decided I wanted a burger and ice cream. We stop at Sonic and grab burgers and milkshakes, then head to a nearby park.

When we get there we walk to a table and eat in silence. After around half and hour Shane stands up and holds out his hand, "Come on." I shake my head and he rolls his eyes as he picks me up. "SHANE! PUT ME DOWN!" "Okay." He puts me down on the grass and tickles me until I can't breathe. "Shaneeee!! Stoppp please or I'll kick you so hard you won't have kids!" He laughs and finally stops, "Fine, but only because you asked so nicely." I roll my eyes, giggling when I feel my phone vibrate. I take it out of my pocket and all of a sudden I'm stuck in place and I feel cold...

Addison, I know Shane said to leave you alone but I would like it if you answered me. Also, I'd like it if he stayed out of our business.
