I wake up, and hear the band downstairs. Michael is still sleeping, so I gently get out of his grip, and head downstairs.

"That girl, she was hot!" Calum says, clearly drunk.

"No, no. The one that looked like Madi, she was hot." Luke stumbles to get to the sofa before he falls in the floor. Its no use, he falls anyway.

"Luke, do you like Madi?" Ashton asks. He's not as bad drunk as the others. Someone had to remember their way home.

"Just a little. I mean, I don't see how her and Michael are just friends. Hell, I would've had sex with her the minute her and Blake broke up. He's blind. Madi's hella fine." He curls up in a ball like a baby on the cold hard floor.

I wait a few more minutes, and listen to their conversation before I intrude.

"Michael already said, he doesn't want to ruin their friendship." Calum plops down on the sofa stumbling over Luke.

"That kiss they shared had to ruin something they didn't want to."

I silently walk back up the steps a bit, and make an entrance.

"Well, I see you're home." I say with a smile

"Oh, hey! We were just talking about you, right, Luke?" Ashton smiles as Luke confirms his statement.

"Yeah, we were."

I go to the kitchen to get three water bottles for the each of them and make them drink it.

"Come on, gotta get to bed." I help Luke up out of the floor, and he smiles his cute drunk smile.

"Thanks." He walks helplessly up the steps to the room him and Calum share. Calum behind him, then Ashton. I'm the last to go.

I still can't believe Luke said that. Drunk or sober. Or maybe I shouldn't have intruded on their mid conversation.

I turn every light in the house off, and go to my room. Michael is practically taking up every square inch of my bed just by the way he's laying.

I throw on some shorts, and Blake's giant T-shirt. I put my hair in a side braid, turn off the light, and crawl back in bed with Michael. He situates himself by cuddling up to my cover as I begin to lie down. I trace the lines of his face with my eyes and begin to smile. I've never realized how cute he really is.

I raise my finger to his face and begin tracing the edge of his cheek. I smile once again and kiss his nose. I stare at him for another three minutes and wonder if Alisha knew how blessed she was to be with him for three long years.

"Why are you staring at me? Didn't your mum ever tell you its not nice to stare." He smiles as he slowly opens his eyes.

"Yes, she did. But, I was just taking pictures with my mind of your sleeping face. You look really peaceful." I smile.

"I could say the same for you. You look peaceful, too." Michael fixes the cover and moves closer to me.

"You've watched me sleep? That's weird."

"What do you think you were just doing?" He laughs and closes his sleepy eyes.

"Taking pictures in my mind, like I said." I begin to shiver and wonder if what I'm wearing was a good idea or not.

"Mhm, sure." He covers my legs up with the cover. "So tell me, Madi, have you and Blake ever had sex?" He rests his head on his bicep. I contemplate if I should answer or not.

"I didn't have sex with Blake. I had sex with someone else, if you must know." I rest my head on my arm.

"Really? Because, when Alisha and I had sex, you were the first person I told. But, when you 'had sex,' I didn't even get a call or anything. How old were you?"

"Fifteen.." I've lied to Michael so many times about this, I don't think he'll believe me any longer.

"Fifteen? Damn, girl. It would've had to been with Blake."

"Not if I cheated first. Okay, Michael, I wasn't fifteen. I'm going to sleep now. Goodnight." I lay in the same position and close my eyes.

"Goodnight." He kisses my cheek and doesn't move another muscle, except to close his eyes of course.

It honestly kills me when I lie to him.

The next morning, I walk down the steps to find only Luke.

"Where'd everybody go?" I say undoing my braid. I had already brushed my teeth, so I couldn't eat breakfast just yet.

"I don't know. I didn't feel like going." He flips channels on the television until he finds a show.

"Oh, well, I'm sorry." I sit on the sofa next to him. His feet are relaxed on the coffee table.

"Madi, do you really want us living here? I mean, I know it'll cost you extra money for rent when the landlord finds out, and eventually you'll go bankrupt. Ashton and Calum thought of this all, I just wanted to stay a bit longer."

"Luke, I'm fine with it. You'll just have to help pay for rent, all of you. And, maybe think about moving Michael's bed in with Ashton's. I don't think sharing a bed with my best friend will work for long."

"You like him, don't you." Luke looks at me, and I look away. He watches every move I make until I answer.

"You don't even know. But, please, don't let him know." I beg.

"I won't, because he has some secrets he needs to share himself."

"Like, what?" I ask concerned.

"Maybe one day he'll tell you." He continues to watch television.

The rest of the day is just Luke and I sitting at the apartment with no sign of the rest until midnight. But, I swear, nothing happened between us. At least, I don't think..
