"Lets do this." Ashton says pumped up, grabbing his drum sticks.
I sigh as everyone rushes past me to the stage. I really don't feel like doing anything today. At all.
Its been a month since the incident with Madi. I'm still not over it. The guys check up on her every chance they get. They say she's already seeing someone else. Weather it's true or not, it hurts.
"Michael, come on. Everyone's waiting for you." Calum says leaving again.
I sigh and look in the mirror. I don't deserve to be here.
I lazily sling my guitar over my shoulder and appear on stage. The fans' screams fill my ears. I give them a small smile, and wait for directions.
Luke, Calum, and Ashton are all crowded around Ashton's drums. They give each other a nod, Luke and Calum return to the mics.
"Uh, alright. I believe we're ready." Luke adjusts his mic and guitar. He strums the strings, and a sigh escapes my mouth. "Are you ready!"
Before they even played the music, I knew what song it was.
"Wait, wait, wait." Calum says. He leans closer to the mic, "I know we play this song all the time, but, this time..it has more meaning. Not just for us, but for two of our best friends. They know who they are."
I take a deep breath and begin playing again.
Luke fills the arena with his voice.
"For a while we pretended that we never had to end it, but we knew we'd have to say goodbye. You were crying at the airport when they finally closed the plane doors, I could barely hold it all inside."
"Torn into. And I know I shouldn't tell you, but, I just can't stop thinking of you-ooh-ooh-ooh. Wherever you are. You-ooh-ooh-ooh. Wherever you are. Every night I almost call you just to say it always will be you-ooh-ooh-ooh. Wherever you are.."
I tightly close my lips and eyes. Images of Madi fills my head. From her sweet smile to her heartbreaking cries.
"I could fly a thousand oceans, but there's nothing that compares to what we had, and so I walk alone..I wish I didn't have to be gone, maybe you've already moved on. But, the truth is I don't want to know."
"You can say we'll be together, someday. But nothing lasts forever, nothing stays the same. So why can't I stop feeling this way?."
"Torn into. And I know I shouldn't tell you, but, I just can't stop thinking of you-ooh-ooh-ooh..Wherever you are.."
My head falls to my hands as I sigh. All I do anymore is sigh. I take my guitar off my shoulders, and sit it to the side.
"Michael, what are you doing?" Ashton asks rushing over to me.
"There's something I need to say." I mumble.
"What?"
"There is something I need to say." I speak louder. "Call Madi."
"Michael, we don't have our phones."
"Call Madi!" I demand. Minutes later, Ashton has Madi on video.
"Michael.." Madi's voice breaks. "Please, continue singing."
"How do you know that's what I'm doing?"
"I'm in the crowd."
I look around. The spotlight lands on her, and the room grows quite. I give Ashton his phone back, and reach for the mic.
"Madi, I am so sorry for everything I've done. This last month has been hell for me. I can't stop thinking about you, and wondering if you're doing the same. I want you to know that no matter how much shit I put you through, I get the worse part out of it. I mess everything up, and I'm sorry. I never meant for that night to happen. I was just stupid. I don't know what came over me. I love you. Best friends, or together. I love you. I always will." I swallow and the light lands on me again. "You can hate me, you can love me. Either way, I'll always love you. I made a promise to you back in year seven that I intend to keep. Remember that promise?" I smile and wait for it to quite down.
"Yes, Michael. I remember."
"I promised to always stick by your side even when I didn't want to. I promised to love you forever. I promised to be the best best friend I could be. Until the day I die. Well, every time we argue and don't talk..I feel like I'm dead. I still keep my promise. Even when I am angry, I still love you. Even when you push me away, I still love you. I love you because you're my best friend. Not because of the promise. I love you because I can't stand to be without you. I love you because you love me when I shouldn't be loved."
The crowd 'Awhs' and there's some sniffles.
"I love you, Madison Hailey Maynard."
"I love you, too, Michael Gordon Clifford." Madi smiles. A happy smile. A loving smile. Not a fake, forced smile. Her true beautiful smile. "Now, please..do us all a favor and sing!"
"Wait, there's something else.." I bite my lip and grin, "Will you be my girlfriend again?"
The fans gasps.
"Yes, Michael. I'll be your girlfriend again." Madi smiles again.
I smile and nod.
"So..Now can we sing?" Calum asks, annoyed.
"Yeah, now we can sing."

We're on the road again, and its tiring.
"Gahh! When can we return home? I miss Australia." I cuddle up in my bed with my blanket. Luke slides in his bunk above mine.
"Soon, Michael, soon." Luke sighs and rolls around until he's comfortable.
"I just really miss the ice-cream we'd get with Madi all the time. Even if we did cost her her job, she didn't mind." I smile.
"Yeah."
"I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the other countries, but..I wanna go home. I'm homesick."
"Michael, go to sleep." Calum, Luke, and Ashton groan.
"Okay, fine." I close the curtain and close my eyes.
Madi fills my head, making me happier.
I swear, this time, I won't mess up.

I'm tired, and stressed, and scared.
School starts back tomorrow, and I am pretty sure this is the last update for a while. The bad thing is, is I don't have any classes with my friends. It sucks..

I'm sorry if it's complete poo. I tried to make it entertaining.
I am supposed to be asleep, but..I had to update. It'll be the last one until Friday. I'm missing school that day. Third day of school, and I'll not be there. How about that?
