I wake up in the same position Michael and I fell asleep in. How he managed to get up without waking me? I have no clue.
I look at my clock, its 11am, and I'm tired. I close my eyes for a little while longer. When I check the clock again, it's almost noon.
I force myself out of bed and drag my feet across the floor, down the hall into the bathroom. I groan as the light burns my eyes. I brush my teeth and go back to my room. It's strangely quite in the apartment..I should go see if they're here or if they left...right after I change. I put on some shorts, and brush my hair before braiding it to the side.
I walk down the steps to find no one here. I guess its just me today. I go to the kitchen and get a bowl of cereal. I sit down on the couch and turn the television on. I stop on a random channel, and decide to watch it.
By 12:30, someone walks through the door. I peek around the corner and see Ashton.
"Hey, Madi." Ashton says sitting beside me.
"Hey, Ash. Want a bite?" I ask holding my cereal bowl up to his face.
"Uhm, actually, my family and I just had lunch. It was lovely." Ashton smiles the biggest smile I've seen on his face.
"That's good. Did the others go to their parents house as well?" I ask putting my bowl in the sink. I really need to do the dishes.
"Yeah, they should be back anytime though." Ashton says standing beside me
"Oh, no. It's not that. I just didn't know if they did the same or not."
"Yeah. And actually, Michael was the first to go." Ashton laughs.
"Really? That's hard to believe. He's usually the last to leave." I say, once again, sitting on the countertop.
"I know. I was surprised. Especially when I seen the way you guys were laying. All intertwined, holding hands and everything."
"Yeah. I just don't know how he managed to get up, leaving me laying like that."
"Well, you are a heavy sleeper and you barely move in your sleep." Ashton says sitting at the table.
Just as I'm about to speak, I hear another voice throughout the house. "Who's in here?"
"Your grandma." Ashton jokes.
"Smooth. Oh, I see..You're trying to steal my lady from me." Michael says walking over to me.
"If anything, she was stealing me." Ashton laughs and exits the kitchen.
"Hey." I smile
"Hi." Michael leans up and kisses my nose again. "When did you wake up?"
"Around eleven. I laid in bed until eleven thirty. Then, I got up." I rest my hands on his shoulders as he rests his on my thighs.
"Well, I was on my way home to lay with you. I'm tired." Michael rests his head on my chest and I run my ringers through his styled hair.
"We can still go to bed. I am still pretty tired." I say as I kiss his head.
"Yeah, but, you're all ready for the day."
"I have a pair of stretchy shorts and a tank top on, and you call that ready for the day?" I ask as he lifts his head up.
"Yes, because if I were a girl, I'd always dress like that."
"Well, that's you. I'm dressed for bed. Come on." I hop off the counter and grab his hand.
Everyone is already back, they must've snuck in. "We're going back to sleep. Don't make a mess," I say mostly directed to Ashton.
"Yeah, sure." They all smirk and I throw an evil glare at them. Michael and I make our way to my room, and just lay in bed.
"Madi, why can't it be like this everyday?" Michael asks playing with the end of my braid.
"What do you mean?" I'm fully aware of what he means, I just want to hear him say it.
"Just, you and I laying in bed all day every day. Not doing anything but sharing our love, and making love. Just, being together."
"Well, because this isn't a love movie and you have a career. One that I'm sure you love having more than being with me." I say running my finger across his cheek.
"But, I love you." Michael kisses me and soon he pulls apart closing his eyes.
"I love you too." We eventually fall asleep, and our faces are just inches away. If one of us were to move our head, we'd end up kissing. (Not that I mind..because, lets be honest, I could kiss him all day.)
The rest of our day is spent laying in bed together, just being together. I wish it was like this everyday, too.
