"Ku. Wysteria is awake."
What Vada told him rings in Ku's ears.
"How do you know?"
"Because there was a date written on the machinery..."
"A date?"
"Yes. The day I left...that's the date on there."
"No way..."
"Now you see where I was going with this?"
"Of course I do! I lost my temper with you...oh gosh what I will do against her? Wysteria is strong and..."
"She is no joke. She will mentally break you. She always tries to do it."
Ku shudders from the chill going through his spine. Wysteria has somehow managed to break free of her sleep.
I guess Dax and Delara's spell wore off...all their effort...Ku thinks sadly.
Walking down the familiar path of the neighborhood, Ku hums the lullaby his parents sung to him. Looking up, Ku finds the house a different color.
Now it is a brown and white theme. Giving it the look of a porcupine quill. A smile edges Ku's lips.
How am I going to tell them all..?
In an instant, Ku's smile turns into a frown. Worry takes over as he ponders any way he could sugar coat the news but there is no way.
With a deep breath, Ku walks towards the house.
----
"Ku..."
"Dax! Delara! Just hang in there!" Ku cried out desperately. His hands hovered over them, a silver glow emitted but wasn't healing. "Dammit! Not again!"
"Ku, our kids!" Delara cried out in vain. Her dirty blonde hair covered in dirt. Her tanned skin tone covered in all sorts of blood and dirt. Even though she was cut open from the front, her brown eyes glossed over with worry.
"Please...don't let them see this..." Dax pleaded. "Are they safe..?" The adult male also had the same wound, but his brown eyes also glossed over with worry. His tanned skin tone also covered in dried blood. Dax looked up at Ku, his brown hair blended with the dirt.
"They are all safe! I called the emergency responders, so please do not let go!" Ku begged, his tears fell. "I told you to let me fight Wysteria! I told you..! You have children at home waiting for you to come home..." Ku added the last sentence to himself.
"You've been such a good friend Ku..." Delara smiled at him, relief flooded her eyes.
"I'm glad we all met you...we've been on all sort of adventures together..." Dax recalled, his eyes full of remembrance.
"I am too...please hold on! We can go on more adventures together! Along with the others!" Ku held their hands, at this point he sobbed.
"Ku, no need to be sad..." Delara placed her other hand on top of Ku's.
"You don't need to worry so much Ku," Dax added, he put his own on top of his wife's. Looking at them look at each other, Ku watched them look at each for the last time. Which sent Ku crying harder.
"Jeez, a little privacy man," Delara joked.
"It's not our Mating Ceremony dude," Dax joked along. Ku laughed along with them, tears fell like a waterfall. Then looking at each other, they count down.
