Brenton spends as much time as he can with his little siblings from the Orphanage. He didn't want to lose anyone else but he knows that it's better for them to find a good family to live with.
They can't grow if they're here...Carol and Tyler know it, Brenton thinks glumly. I want to keep my mind off of it but I can't!
C'mon, the one day I want training, Sensei says come after four...it's only lunch!
He glances at his phone, eyeing that he has no messages. Well, then again, Urana is out with her basketball buddies. Alex is trying to get Owen to hang out with him...Ava is hanging out with her brother.
"Bren!" Sara calls out and Brenton snaps out of his thoughts.
"What is it?" Brenton looks over and sees Sara and Zola making a tower out of whatever they could find.
"Build with us!" Zola smiles brightly.
"Alright," Brenton gets up, abandoning his summer work, which by no doubt, Sensei would make him finish after training.
The three of them look around for anything they could stack on the tower. They find blocks, paper and cups. Stacking them up, Carol pops her head into the room.
"Brenton, Belle and Ben are here," Carol grins. If there's anything Carol loved, it's Brenton's friends.
"He's in here," Tyler shows up with Belle and Ben. Zack excitedly makes his way to the two of them, who gladly lift him up and play with him.
"What's up guys?" Brenton asks. "Sorry about last time."
"It's all good," Belle's attention on playing with Zack.
"We just wanted to tell you that the goons are all gone," Ben whispers quietly enough that only Brenton could hear.
"That's good news," Brenton grins, stacking paper on the tower.
"It's good, but what exactly happened to make Wysteria take them from here?" Belle whispers.
"You don't think she's getting too old? She might be tired of having to manipulate the portal and then powering her goons so far away," Ben speculates.
"She has to power her goons?" Brenton looks surprised.
"Do you not listen to Sensei?" Belle sighs.
"I must've zoned out..." Brenton shrugs. "Besides, I still have to finish my summer work."
"Dude, there's like one and a half months left," Ben reminds him.
"Wait, don't you have submit via the internet?" Belle looks worried. "Your due dates might be even closer."
"It's not my fault Cepheus High is evil!" Brenton pouts. "Four essays on a single book!"
"What a good example you're setting for your siblings," Carol calls out, causing Belle and Ben to snicker.
"Ughhhh," Brenton groans. "I guess it could be worse...but PSATs..."
"Hey, we have to take SATs and we aren't even going to college here!" Belle points out.
"You can't argue with that," Ben agrees.
"Then how do you guys get into college?" Brenton questions, suddenly feeling like Urana and wanting to find out about college opportunities in the Magic World.
"Well, since we've been fighting bad guys...we'll be learning stuff related to that," Ben makes sure that none of the kids hears their conversation.
