Later that night, Amy reaches her apartment, blinking repeatedly as she steps in to see smirks on all of her siblings' faces.
"What?" Amy raises an eyebrow, quickly stuffing the necklace into her shirt. Knowing very well that they could tell what the swift movement was but that wouldn't stop her from playing it off.
"What yourself," Quill taps Amy's collarbone. "You just hid a pretty necklace, if you've got nothing to hide, you won't mind us seeing it right?"
"But the fact that you hid it lets us know that you are trying to hide something from us," Scott crosses his arms, looking rather proud of simple deduction.
"Wha-that's ridiculous," Amy laughs. "I have no reason to hide anything from you guys at all."
"Hmm, you say that yet I know that you wouldn't want to tell us about certain situations," Red hints towards many things and Amy narrows her eyes at them.
"Mind your business," Amy huffs before putting away the umbrella into the storage closet. "It's like asking Scott what he does with Xander when they're alone."
"Woah, that's completely different," Scott stops Amy from talking further. "That's not even something I have to tell you all anyway, you guys can guess."
"Thanks to being awesome crime fighters!" Quill cheers. "But seriously Amy, what are you hiding?"
"It looks to me like you guys already know," Amy raises an eyebrow at them. "Wait, were you guys spying on me?!"
"Pfft, you didn't notice?" Red laughs. "And here I thought you were Red Sport. One of the many Femme Fatale."
"Ugh, I hate you all," Amy rolls her eyes. "Of course I know you all were following me. It's such a bad habit you all developed ever since you came here."
"Since you won't tell us-" Scott starts.
"You already know what happened genius," Amy interrupts, rolling her eyes again. "You guys are so annoying, honestly."
"C'mon, we wanna hear it from you!" Quill does puppy dog eyes and Amy closes her eyes.
"Quill, you know I can't resist them..." Amy sighs, she peeps with one eye and then sighs harder.
"Okay, fine," Amy throws her hands up in the air. "All Jamil did was give me a thank you gift for getting him out of tight spots twice in a month." Amy takes the necklace out of her shirt to show them the emerald fairy.
"It is so pretty!" Quill gushes over it, holding it in her hand. "He's got good taste, I'll give you that."
"Does he know you're a fairy?" Scott raises an eyebrow. "And it's green...or is it just a coincidence?"
"Coincidence," Amy states. "I thought it was fishy at first but he really doesn't know because I think he left a bit of his magic energy in here. I can feel it."
"Woah, that's dangerous for him," Red turns worried. "If he goes around dropping magic energy into objects that is. He could hurt himself."
"All the more reason to hang around him more," Quill adds. "Jamil needs to learn to not leak out his energy...it's so dangerous which is why we learn it as kids and why finding the teens was so important."
"I'm worried," Amy touches the necklace. "Sensei said we shouldn't really say much because he's all the way at his college."
"But won't he end up hurting himself like that? Well, as long as his magic hasn't awoken yet he should be fine...so like I said last time, he's got a few years," Scott adds to his calculation.
