The thrill from watching Tyler's fights and the amazing ice cream they shared afterwards, has everyone sleeping soundly.
In the morning, Amy wakes up bright and early. She changes into her school spirit shirt and yoga pants. Amy puts her hair up into a ponytail and heads out the door.
"Hey, where are you going?" Red asks, dark circle under his eyes and a cup of coffee.
"Better question: what's wrong with you?" Amy questions, sitting down and Red pushes a cup towards her.
"Nothing...just," Red sighs, taking a huge gulp of coffee. "Memories. Realizing just how much I miss my mom and dad...and well, how much I miss how things were. I'm mostly scared that Wysteria will take someone else's life this time too..."
"Hey, don't say stuff like that," Amy holds her brother's hand. "Wysteria will not take anyone else from us. She'll die alone, as evil as that sounds, she will die alone this time."
"You can say that all you want but she always takes a life," Red sighs deeply. "Maybe I should just try and block off all the portals to get to the Magic World...that way Sensei doesn't go off?"
"As good as an idea that is," Amy starts. "We can't do that. We didn't practice that kind of magic either...also, there's no way Sensei is going to be stopped by just that."
"Fair enough," Red rubs his eyes.
"Try to get some sleep, I have to go to a staff meeting today," Amy pats his hand, gulps down the coffee and takes off.
Red blinks at the door, sighing, he takes the cups and washes them. Love. Love. Love. I've been fooled by it once, that's for sure, Red frowns. He goes over to the bedroom to see Quill and Scott sleeping.
Seeing their relaxed faces makes Red feel calmer as he goes to his part of the floor. He closes his eyes, hoping he could fall asleep for longer than an hour this time.
Nightmares. That's all he could get out of sleeping. The day he nearly got killed, the day Wysteria took his parents, the day Wysteria took Aster, the day...the day when he was betrayed by someone he thought he could trust till the end of time.
"Damnit!" Red gets up and throws the pillow to the wall, his eyes are filled with tears. "I was perfectly fine yesterday!"
"Red, what's wrong?" Quill mumbles sleepily. Looks like Amy didn't come back yet.
"Nothing Quill, you should sleep," Red waits for her to mumble and go back to sleep before retrieving his pillow. "Absolutely nothing at all..."
"You're a real bad liar Red," Scott is up on his elbows and is watching Red, who turns around.
"I get nightmares too okay?" Red huffs before pulling the covers over himself.
"Mhm, no denying that because you screamed out not too long ago," Scott yanks the covers off of his face.
"Did I wake you up?" Red asks.
"Dude, you had me worried," Scott frowns. "Amy left so she probably didn't hear it but you're having nightmares of that day aren't you? When she sold you out?"
"Yeah..." Red mumbles. "I'm such a baby, I thought I would feel better after confronting her and giving her what she deserves for selling information about mages but...I don't..."
"No one blames you," Scott sighs, running a hand through his hair. "I know how much you cherished that relationship and to see that murdered...it definitely can't be easy."
"Are you sure?" Red sighs. "What if I'm just clinging onto to something? Maybe I'm just being a baby. She sold me out anyway. I put her behind bars. I should feel fine."
