Brad's point of view (look at me i wrote it out!)
I pull the red beanie over my head and pull a jacket on over my t-shirt as it's cold and rainy today. "I'm off to see a friend!" I shout into the living room from my spot by the front door.
"Is it Quinn?" Connor asks with a certain tone in his voice.
"Why does it matter?" I call back.
"When are you going to ask her out?" He questions.
"I don't know, when the timing's right, i'm off!" I awkwardly shout before closing the front door behind myself. I stroll to the lift and pull out my phone to see if Quinn sent me any messages. Nope. A girl about my age smiles to me and picks up a toddler. "Hello," I smile as I push the button with a black 8 printed on it.
"Hi," The little girl responds and waves her hand. I smile before getting off the lift. Brandy greets me at the door.
"Hello Bradley." She smiles.
"Hey Brandy, is Quinn here?" I smile and try to look behind Brandy for any sign of Quinn.
"Um yeah," She says with an uncertaincy in her voice.
"So, can I see her?" I laugh.
"Um, no?"
"Why not?" I frown.
"Because," She pauses for a second. "I'll go ask if I can tell you, um here come in, coffee's on the counter," She says before dashing up the stairs. I walk and and the door falls closed behind me. I wander over to a framed picture. It shows two little girls sitting in the middle of a sunny feild of flowers. I imagine that it's Brandy and Quinn.
"Okay!" Brandy shouts as she comes trotting down the stairs. "So Quinn is terribly sorry that she can't hang out with you today. She has bad cramps." She pauses and looks up the steps. "It's that time of the month," She winks.
"Brandy shut up!" I hear Quinn yell.
"Oh okay," I laugh.
"Yeah, I would've gone out to get her medicine but I have like 3 interviews back-to-back today and I wont have any time. And Nat's out all day as well." Brandy rambles as she packs a bunch of folders into her green handbag.
"Oh, well good luck. I gotta go," Once I get out of the flat I ring my mum.
"Hey Bradley, haven't heard from you in a while, how are you?" She chirps into the phone.
"I'm good, listen, I'm about to ask you a question. Now it's going to sound odd but please don't freak out or anything." I laugh into the phone and slide into the lift yet again.
"Well, go on then." She instructs.
"Okay, um. Hmmm.... Okay so let's say i'm on my period and I'm having cramps, what would be good things to buy at the store to help?" I ask. She just laughs into the phone for a few moments before she collects herself.
"Chocolate. Lots of chocolate. Cranberries, cranberry juice. Oh a heating pad. When you get to the store ask an employee for medication. Is it Quinn?"
"Yeah, and her roomates are both out of the house so I thought I'd go get stuff for her." I explain.
"You like her?" She asks after a pause.
"Well yeah, she's my friend." I chuckle.
"Brad."
"Ok fine maybe a little, don't freak out or plan a wedding or something," I sigh.
"You guys would make beautiful babies." I can hear her smile through the phone.
