THOUGHTS: Despite disliking Lucius and having somewhat sympathetic feelings towards Narcissa, I think the Malfoy family's one redeeming quality is that they really love each other. Narcissa was willing to betray Voldemort multiple times to save her son, and even Lucius in the end gave up fighting because he cared more about finding his son than helping Voldemort win. Even if theirs was a loveless marriage for some reason, they both love their son dearly and that would be enough to keep them together. BUT I don't think their marriage is loveless at all. From all the hints, I'd say they're actually very much in love. Lucius is more than willing to listen to his wife and heed her wishes: he agrees to send Draco to Hogwarts even though he wanted him to go to Durmstrang, and he only gives his wand over to Voldemort after Narcissa's fingers close around his wrist in silent communication. Narcissa also seems to miss Lucius dearly while he's imprisoned in Azkaban, and she fiercely defends him against any critiques leveled by her older sister, Bellatrix. They give me affectionate and loving vibes, and that, addition with how clearly spoiled their only son is, I think they're happy together, and thus I ship them.
Of course, Lucius is a giant asshole, and they're both filthy rich bigots and pure-blood supremacists (though I imagine Narcissa having slightly more flexibility when it comes to eventually changing her mind about that kind of thing than her husband), but they work well together. I dunno, they're just fun in an "evil power couple" way. I'm not saying that they're actually "evil," necessarily, though they've both made decisions and hold opinions that hurt other people, and Lucius is pretty awful — I'm just saying, together they give "hot villainous couple" vibes and I'm down for that, as long as it's fiction. And thankfully, this is!
