Victoria
The Next Morning
Tap, tap, tap. "Strike her again."The Mason father pushed a button, and an electric shock was sent through my body. I groaned and ground my teeth together.
"Higher." She held her finger out, "And longer."
He twisted a nob and held down the button. I screamed and felt my eyes turn red.
"Why did you wait so long?" I looked up at her. She came up and grabbed my chin. "I can't kill you if you're not in London." She threw my head into the fence I was strapped to, "Again." I screamed and Mary watched, laughing.
Much Later
I could not see the sun. I only knew what time it was when the Mason father would leave and return the next morning.Mary walked in with a cup of red blood. I tried to pull away from the fence to even smell it, but the chains around my wrists, waist, and legs kept me still. "Does it smell nice?" She walked up to me and took a long sip. "It tastes, mmm, good."
"You are a sadist."
She threw the cup on the ground, spilling all of it, "No! I am karma."
"Karma for what?"
She walked to the control panel. "For everything that you deserve!"
She held down the shock button, and I slowly felt my eyes flickering red and my fangs growing. I screamed and watched as she turned up the voltage even more. My red eyes slowly faded away and my fangs retracted.
"Too much?" Mary asked me over my screaming. I forced my eyes to turn blood red and kept it that way. "This what you wanted?" The pain grew too much. I could not hold on anymore. My head dropped, and I looked entirely human. "That was sad. Pitiful, really. I thought you'd last longer." She released the button, and I looked up at her. She was standing in the doorway, looking at me. "Just so you know, that wasn't what I was looking for either." She turned around dramatically and slammed the door behind her.
I scanned the room for anything helpful. There was a camera mounted in the corner to watch the room, a chair, and me. The rest of the room was entirely empty, save for the pool of blood now to my left. I focused on the cords stretching from the console to the fence. I could blast it, but the camera would see me. I pulled with all my might to break the chains or the fence.
"You can't break it." There were four sons, well, three now, and one Mason daughter. This was she. "Vampires, witches, werewolves, all the such have been strapped up there, and none have broken out."
I pointed to her the best I could with my hand stuck. "You are the- the Nadia girl."
She approached me. "Yes, I am the Nadia girl, I suppose. You've spent a lot of time with my father. You're fairly strong. She put a stake to my chest, and I flailed about, trying to move away. "I won't kill you. You killed my brother, I want to kill you, but Father won't let me."
"What was the young boy's name, Jonny?" She removed the stake.
"Gabriel, oldest; me, Nadia, second oldest; Garrett, middle; Jonny, used to be second youngest; and Daniel, the youngest. Twenty-four, twenty, seventeen, sixteen, and thirteen."
"Why are you telling me this?"
She put the stake back to my chest and pushed a little. "Because whether you die or not, you will never forget the family who captured you and the son you killed." She removed the stake and stabbed it into my stomach. I held in my scream and glared into her eyes.
"Nadia!" She snapped out of it, and I moved my face away from her. "Get away from the fiend!" Her father's voice rang in my ears, echoing off the walls.
