I woke up to voices. "Did she seriously sleep here last night?" Jake asked.

"Dude you're gonna wake her," Alec whispered.

"To late for that," I told them rather groggily. As soon as I stood up magic did too. He nickered softly as if to say "good morning." I pet the spot right between his ears. His favorite spot.

"Sorry," jake apologized.

"It's fine. I had to wake up anyway," I told them.

"Did you seriously sleep here last night?" Alec said repeating the question that jake asked.

"No, because I wake up every morning with straw in my hair and smell like horse barn," I say sarcastically.

"I know. That's why I was wondering," he says with a grin.

"Shut up," I tell him rolling my eyes and punching his shoulder.

He winces. "You hit like a man," he tells me.

I laugh. "Damn right," I say chuckling.

"We were just gonna go. You know before your sister wakes up," jake said. Oh I forgot he was there. Oops.

"Uh yeah. I suppose. I'll help you," I say. I help them load their horses in the trailer. Alec surprised me. He hugged me and kissed me on the cheek.

"Thanks O'Brien. For everything,"

He said. I am sure my cheeks are as red as a tomato right now.

"Oh it's no problem. I kinda owe you after, you know," I stutter.

He just nods his head and waves. Jake waves too. For some reason I've got butterflies. That's never happened before. Oh no. My sister says whenever I get butterflies and nervous around guys I like them. That's not the case with me and Alec though. I don't even know him. Oh god. I'm in deep aren't I?
