Chapter 20

After Alec gets out of the shower I'm sitting on the steps on my phone.

"Hey," Alec says awkwardly.

"Hey," I say back.

"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable," Alec quickly apologizes. I just look at him. "Say something!" Alec says worried.

"It looked like you were more uncomfortable than me, so you're good," I chuckle. He lets out a sigh if relief.

"It's not my fault you have that affect on me," Alec says leaning in. I put my hands on my chest and push him away.

"If you guys are gonna drop me off then we better get going," I say. He kisses my neck. I close my eyes.

"We can bring you and then we will have more time," Alec says his voice muffled because he was still kissing my neck.

"I don't have clothes," I say breathing heavily.

"Jake probably has a female western shirt," Alec says. I pull back and he frowns.

"Jakes a man-whore?" I ask.

He laughs. "He used to be. He's not no more," he says.

"I'm not even gonna ask," I say. "We need Dakotah. and my tack though. So we better go," I say. He groans.

"Fine. JAKE!" Alec yells. I laugh. Typical Alec.

"WHAT?" Jake yells coming out of the house.

"We gotta drop McKenna off," Alec says.

"Okay. Get in I'll load your horse," jake says. I immediately shake my head.

"No that's okay. I can get it," I say fast hoping he didn't notice. He did but he just raised him eyebrows at me and I have him a look telling him to shut up. He just gets in the truck. I load magic in the trailer and we head to my house. I get out of the truck and I unload magic. And what do I see? My sister making out with that creep Joey.

"MAYSA!" I yell. They immediately pull apart. I just about gagged when I saw the hickey on my sisters neck.

"What the hell McKenna!" Maysa yells.

"Now that I have your attention get in the truck. I have a rodeo today. The one I've been telling you about for 2 weeks," I say slow.

"You can miss one rodeo," she says her face red. I'm fuming at this point. Alec and jake are out of the truck now.

"No I really can't! This is the rodeo where I qualify for worlds!" I yell.

"You are so selfish! You are just like dad!" She yells. I immediately pale. Then it probably turns red again. She's smirking thinking she's won. I run at her and tackle her to the ground.

"You bitch! Who was stabbed? Who was about to get killed! I was. You were just there. You saved me and you have been holding that over me ever since! I'm punching her now and I was pulled off by Joey. I look down and I see my sister crying and I look up to see jake and Alec's shocked faces. Then I feel somebody stroking my cheek.

"I like a girl that's feisty. Let's go inside. I need you," he practically begs. I try to get out of his arms and he won't let to. He's kissing my neck. "Come on babe. I know you want me. He touches my butt and they are quickly heading south.

"Don't touch her!" Alec yells and I look up. I feel myself pushed out of his arms and look down. I see Alec punching Joey.

"Alec get off of him!" I yell. He doesn't even look at me. I grab his arm and pin it behind his back.

"Oww," Alec whines. I pull him up. I bring him to jake. I walk over to Joey and pull him up.

"Babe. I knew you were on my side," he says his eyes filled with lust. I scoff and I punch him in the face. I hear a satisfying crack and I push him in his car.

"If I ever see you around her again you will never walk on this earth again. Understood?!" I ask.

"Understood," he grunts and drives off. Then I look down. I see my sister getting up and I feel a loud smack and I clutch my cheek.

"What the hell!" She screams. "How could you do This to me?" She asks.

"You are not my sister that I knew. I truly do hate you and I hope you know that. You hate me and how I know that? When you come home drunk and you say those words," I say in rage.

"Go to hell McKenna! You are so spoiled and selfish! You just scared my boyfriend off and you punched me!" She yells.

"Boyfriend? The one with his hands all over me? The one who offered for me to have sex with him? News flash honey. He was probably screwing the whole frickin state of Minnesota!" I yell.

"I hate you so much!" She yells.

"I hate you too!" I yell.

"Take your crap you're leaving!" She yells.

"Where am I supposed to go?" I ask.

"Go it hell for all I care!" She yells.

"Fine!" I scream. I go inside and pack my bags. I get dressed and get magic and Dakotah. Alec grabs my hand.

"Where are you going?" He asks worried.

"To the rodeo. Where else?" I ask still angry.

"You can't drive," he tells me. I sigh.

"Not legally but I have to go somewhere. I mean my sister just kicked me out. She's the only family I have left," I say my voice cracking.

"Come here," he says opening his arms. I immediately take them and hug him. I sob into his chest. "You don't always have to be so strong McKenna. Jake and I will always be here for you," he says.

"Thanks Alec. That means a lot," I say pulling back.

"We'll take you to the rodeo," Alec says rubbing his hands down my arms.

"Kay thanks," I say. He kissed my forehead and I loaded magic and Dakotah in the trailer and we were off.
