'Hey, I don't know if you still care or not but I really wanna see you. I'm at my grandmothers house, not sure how much longer she has, I could really use your company right now. 0109 East Ranch Park Dr. Fairhope, Alabama.'
I couldn't stop staring at my phone, Brendon had texted me at 3am in the morning. Jade and I had been up watching movies all night when the text came through, she had said we should go but unfortunately I had school and work. "Look, this is your chance to go and be with him! What the hell are you waiting for?! His grandma is dying and he could really use your support." Jade said trying to convince me to go, even if I wanted to put off school and work I would still have to ask my mom, I highly doubt she would allow me to drive nearly 7 hours. "I want too, I just have a bad feeling." She rolled her green eyes, my inner self was agreeing with Jade. "Look, go an ask your mom, text your boss and lets pack our bags for a road trip!" She jumped up running into my closet grabbing the suitcases out, well I guess I'm going to Alabama!
We left around 10am then next morning, Jade had passed out as soon as her head hit the pillow, me on the other hand was wide awake and my stomach with filled with knots. I had sent Bill a message last night that I would be taking a couple of personal days and apologized for it being such short notice, hopefully he will accept. My mom gave me a look like I had grew two heads, at first she said hell no but after convincing her she agreed to let us go as long as we kept in touch with her and our trackers on. While Jade went to finish packing I sat on the couch with my mom who was looking online at IKEA. "This will give you the perfect opportunity to finish Jades room. When we get back you can show it off." Her eyes widen and she smiled big. "You're right! By the time you girls come home Sunday, I can have it finished!" She went back to looking online at bedroom decor for Jades room, we haven't told Jade yet because we were wanting to surprise her.
The Six an a half hour drive put us there around 4pm the whole way there I just kept getting a sick feeling in my stomach, I knew that with the trip I'd either get to be with the one guy I've seemed to fallen in love with or I'd go home with a broken heart but some closure.
I parked a little down the road from where his house is, I guess to try and calm my nerves down before I face him. "Is that them?" Jade asked pulling out some binoculars, where the hell did those come from?! She passed them to me, I first spotted Brendon with his mother and a younger girl, then I seen her climb out of the car and kiss Brendon on the cheek. Passing the binoculars back to Jade, I didn't want to see anymore. Of course Brooke would be involved that filthy wench, I just don't understand how he fell for her devilish ways again. "How the hell is he gonna send you a text message asking you to come see him, then turn around and have that skank here?!" Jade seethed but kept watching them till they entered the house. "I told you that I had a bad feeling about this." I muttered trying to keep my tears at bay. "So what now?" Jade asked as she placed the binoculars back into her bag. "We find a hotel and a bar. You've still got the fake ID's right?" She smiled big and fished them out of her purse. "Always!"
We had found a local hotel right by the bay and a little bar not to far away to where we can just walk, the little town was adorable, it's definitely a placed I'd like to settle down in one day when I'm old. As we made it to the bar we noticed it seemed like the place for all the locals to be, the bartender kept his eyes on Jade giving her a sly smile whenever they made eye contact, I knew she was enjoying the attention from him seeing how he was giving her a little more extra shots in her drinks. "Could you just imagine! Brown hair and green eyes babies! I bet we'd make some really cute babies." Jade said gushing over the bartender, I could t help but to laugh as they started flirting. Around 8pm we done had more than enough drinks for one night, I had cut us off but Jade insisted on us staying so she could flirt with Chad the bartender.
