"Drizzle, you will now be known as Drizzlepaw and Jagged will now be known as Jaggedpaw." Oaklight announced.
It has been four moons since their father left them and now they were six moons, old enough to become apprentices.
Oaklight has taken care of them ever since Nev left and Drizzlepaw thought of Oaklight as a father more than Nev would ever be.
"Your first assignment will be to explore the territory. I will be showing you two around." Oaklight continued.
"I've always wanted to get out of the camp!" Jaggedpaw exclaimed, jumping up and down.
"Remember our new clan." Oaklight replied, looking at Jaggedpaw to Drizzlepaw then back again.
"Yes! FireClan will be feared by all!" Drizzlepaw yowled.
"I'm proud that you have chosen that name for our clan. Fire, after all, is feared by all cats." Oaklight praised.
"Enough chatting and more exploring!" Jaggedpaw raced into the forest, not waiting to hear anymore.
Oaklight dipped his head and followed Jaggedpaw, Drizzlepaw at his heels.

Drizzlepaw looked around, snow was covering the entire forest.
Jaggedpaw jumped face first into the white blanket. "So cold!" She yowled, her voice muffled by the snow.
Oaklight let out a mrrow of laughter. "It's frozen water, it's supposed to be cold!"
He beckoned his tail, telling them to follow him.

They stopped at a river, it was
frozen. Drizzlepaw watched as the water carried a stick past her.
"This river runs through our territory. If we follow it this way," Oaklight pointed his tail to the right. "It leads to a huge cave."
Drizzlepaw's eyes widened but it was Jaggedpaw who spoke first. "What are we waiting for?! Let's go!"
The three cats pelted to the cave then stopped.
Drizzlepaw looked up, her mouth wide open with shock. There was something splashing in the frozen stream. It was a cat, and it fell through the ice!
"Quick, Drizzlepaw, get a stick!" Oaklight ordered, breaking her thoughts. Drizzlepaw nodded and raced back into the forest. She came back with a stick in her jaws.
"P-please help m-me!" The small cat cried.
"Grab the end of the stick!" Oaklight told the cat. The cat quickly bit the end of the stick and Oaklight pulled her out of the frozen stream.
The black tabby collapsed on the ground and looked at Oaklight. She was shivering
"Thanks." She coughed. "I'm Blackpaw by the way."
Drizzlepaw's eyes widened. "A clan cat!"
"What is a clan cat like you doing here?" Oaklight asked.
Blackpaw stood up. "Well, my clan, ShadowClan, found out I was related to-" She straightened, hesitating to continue. "A cat... so they chased me out of the clan."
Jaggedpaw narrowed her eyes. Drizzlepaw looked at Blackpaw. Who is Blackpaw related to and why is it so bad?
Jaggedpaw opened her mouth to reply, but Drizzlepaw spoke first this time. "You shouldn't have to pay for whatever your kin has done! You can stay with us." Drizzlepaw glanced at Oaklight.
Oaklight nodded in return. "Yes, we need more cats for our clan. I'm Oaklight. This is Drizzlepaw and her sister Jaggedpaw."
Blackpaw tilted her head. "You're clan cats too?"
"Yes, but we have made our own clan, FireClan." Oaklight replied.
"Then I will join." Blackpaw decided quickly.
Drizzlepaw smiled. "Come on then! We'll show you around our camp!"

"And this is where Jaggedpaw and I sleep, now you too!" Drizzlepaw finished.
"This is just like a regular clan camp!" Blackpaw exclaimed.
"Yup! We are now a clan too you know!" Drizzlepaw said proudly, poking Blackpaw with her paw.
Blackpaw nodded and looked up at the sky. "I hope ShadowClan is alright."
Drizzlepaw rested her tail on her new friend's shoulder. "Don't worry, I'm sure everyone is fine."

It has been almost a moon since Blackpaw joined their clan and Drizzlepaw already counted her as her best friend. Blackpaw had told them everything she knew about clan life.

"I'm going to the city to see if any cats would want to join our clan. Drizzlepaw is in charge." Oaklight announced, padding toward the camp entrance.
"No fair! She was in charge last time!" Jaggedpaw whined, but Oaklight had already left.
"Anyways, we should explore some more! I mean, what else are we supposed to do, sit around and do nothing?!" Jaggedpaw meowed, flicking a rock with her claw.
"Why not? What could go wrong?" Blackpaw shrugged.
"Well, I guess so, but Jaggedpaw has to take the blame if something happens!" Drizzlepaw replied, looking at her sister.
"Sure." Jaggedpaw looked back at her. "Let's go!"

"Are you sure this is safe, we are starting to get close to our borders." Drizzlepaw asked, ducking her head as they went under a low branch.
"Stop worrying about everything! Oaklight can't always be in control of us!" Jaggedpaw hissed.
Drizzlepaw looked at Blackpaw and Blackpaw just shrugged. They continued to walk through the forest. They stopped at a stream.
"I wonder when Oaklight will let us go to the gathering. Imagine the looks on the clans faces when they see us!" Drizzlepaw wondered out loud.
"Soon. I think after enough cats join our clan." Jaggedpaw replied. Blackpaw shivered.
Drizzlepaw looked at her friend and realized what was wrong. "You're afraid of seeing ShadowClan again, aren't you?"
Blackpaw nodded. "I'm afraid they will chase me out again."
Jaggedpaw snorted. "We won't let them."

Jaggedpaw led them into an open space. Drizzlepaw didn't bother to look around her surroundings, she just noticed how odd smelling this place was.
"What is this place-" Jaggedpaw was cut off by a loud roaring sound. Drizzlepaw looked at the ground, it was black. This is a Thunderpath! What was Jaggedpaw thinking!
She blinked as she saw blinding lights in front of them. A huge monster was heading right for them!
