"ShadowClan's attacking, Amberstar's leading the patrol here right now."
Blackstorm raced out of the shade to the old cat, Drizzlefrost behind her.
"Are you sure, Ashpelt?" Blackstorm asked. Drizzlefrost wasn't surprised Blackstorm knew this cat, since she used to live in ShadowClan.
Ashpelt nodded. "Amberstar announced it to the clan. She wants to take your whole territory and chase you out once in for all."
The clan had gathered around her. Oaklight pushed his way through.
"Thank you for warning us." Oaklight dipped his head.
  "But why?" Doeheart asked.
"What if it's a trap!" Scorchpelt hissed, unsheathing her claws.
"It's not a trap! I trust Ashpelt." Blackstorm looked around her clanmates.
"And how can we trust you?" Scorchpelt challenged. "She could have been conspiring with ShadowClan the whole time! I knew she was a spy!"
"Enough!" Drizzlefrost growled. "We have a battle to prepare for, and instead you're all standing around fighting like kits?"
"Drizzlefrost's right. We shouldn't be fighting against each other when we have another enemy on their way." Leapfrost stepped beside Drizzlefrost. The FireClan cat's got ready for battle without arguing.
  Drizzlefrost looked at Leapfrost. "Thanks."
  "Anytime." Leapfrost replied.
Suddenly, Amberstar and the rest of her patrol flooded into camp. The ShadowClan cat's gasped in shock.
"How did they know we were going to attack!?"
  "Maybe a traitor told them!"
Blackstorm glared at the ShadowClan cat's. "Or maybe, you're so loud, we could hear you coming from a mile away!"
"ShadowClan, attack!" Amberstar flung herself on top of Oaklight and the rest of her patrol jumped into battle.
Drizzlefrost faced a dark gray tom. She unsheathed her claws and bared her teeth into a snarl.
The tom laughed. "I remember you. You were the cat at the gathering, the one who was lucky enough to win the Pin Battle."
"Yeah, and FireClan will win this battle too!" Drizzlefrost growled.
"Well, I won't let you beat me this time!" He lunged towards her, claws unsheathed. Drizzlefrost met him in the air, standing on her hind legs and her tail tucked in. She swiped at his muzzle, sending him backwards. She dropped down and slammed both paws hard on his head.
"Oh yeah, I remember you." Drizzlefrost hissed. "Spiderpaw, was it? The one who was scared enough to use their claws?!"
Spiderpaw ripped out of her grip and squared up on her. "It's Spiderweb now, and I wasn't scared. It's better to hurt the weaker appointments more than the stronger ones."
"I'll show you who's the weak one!" Drizzlefrost spat, pinning the tom down. She had his front and hind legs pinned as well, her grip tight. She raked her claws against his muzzle, then swiped his eye. She recalled how this was the clan who rejected her, this was the clan that chased out Blackstorm and hurt her at the gathering, this was the clan that didn't want them. Drizzlefrost took all her anger on him as she swiped again and again.
"Drizzlefrost, stop!" Leapfrost's voice pulled her back to reality. She jumped off of Spiderweb, shaking.
Spiderweb got to his paws, blood dripping from his face. "You're crazy. Just like a rouge who doesn't respect the warrior code." With that, he turned around and fled into the forest.
Drizzlefrost slouched down, whimpering. "What have I done?"
Leapfrost crouched down beside her, hesitating before licking a wound on her ear. "You did what you had to. At least we won the battle."
Drizzlefrost looked around. Her clanmates were wounded but there was no ShadowClan cat in sight. Not even Ashpelt.
"I hurt him." Drizzlefrost whispered. "I hurt him and I couldn't stop myself. I took out all my anger on him. And look what I did."
Leapfrost sighed. "Not everyone can stop themselves from doing something. It'll be okay. Just try not to think about it."
"I'll try." Drizzlefrost said. She leaned against him, and surprisingly, it soothed her. She closed her eyes, purring as Leapfrost carefully groomed her pelt.
