Lucy's p.o.v
Hi my name is Lucy Heartfilia, I am 18 and I go to Fairy Tail High with all of my friends. My father isn't the sweetest man alive, but I still love him no matter what because he's my father. I can't do anything about it. He gambles a lot and I know every appointment for the days and the people's names. So far all of them are just as old as my father or maybe a bit older and have all lost to him. Today I have to stay up in my room because an extra special person is coming to our house. His name is Natsu Dragneel, he owns the Dragneel corporation and is the same age as me.
I have no idea what he looks like except that he has salmon colored hair and onyx eyes other than those few facts I'm clueless about him.

~after school at home~

I go to the kitchen and grab some bread and cheese. I decided to make grilled cheese and I put it on the pan. As it was almost done my father yelled at me, telling me to leave because Natsu was almost here. I protested because of my food, but he insisted "I'll have the maid bring it to you! NOW LEAVE!" I become scared and run away, up the stairs to my room.

After about 3 minutes my door opened and our maid Virgo came in and handed me my grilled cheese as well as a glass of milk. I smile and thank her as she walks out. After about another 2 or 4 minutes I hear our front door open and hear talking. I slowly walk over to my door trying not to make a sound as I listen to their conversation.

It's been a full hour since Natsu has been here and my curiosity keeps eating at me. I want to know what he looks like. Is what kept running through my mind. I decided to take the risk and leave my room. Once you get outside of my room you are able to see through the staircase railing. I crouch down to see a boy with salmon hair and my father.

So that's what he looks like, huh?

I think to myself as I keep watching them.
It was all a really reckless idea because if Natsu looked up he could see me and as I was thinking that of course he looked up. I saw him smile at me which got my fathers attention and he looked at me as well.

Crap! This will not end well!

I run back to my room and as I close my door I hear footsteps nearing it. I went and hid in my big closet, but my father still found me. He yanks me up and starts to yell at me. He hits me across the face and I start to cry as he yells some more.

Natsu's p.o.v
I heard yelling and then a loud 'smack' it was followed with sobs and more yelling. I couldn't just sit here and listen to something so depressing. I stand up and walk upstairs to the girls room. I quickly open it to see the girl on the ground. "WHAT THE HELL!? What did you do!?" I run over to the blond and kneel down, helping her up into my lap, cradling her "what is wrong with you!?" I yell and he gives me a death glare "it was all her fault!" My eyes widen and I stand up with the girl still in my arms "YOUR CRAZY! I SHOULD JUST CALL THE COPS ON YOU! YOU SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO TREAT HER LIKE THIS! ISN'T SHE YOUR DAUGHTER!?" He laughs like I said something wrong "She is my daughter, but I will never consider her as mine." Silence filled the air then I started to hear more sobs and look at the girl "My f-father is right... it's my fault.. I deserve it. He told me not to interrupt, but I did" she smiled weakly, but soon covered her face to hide the tears and that was enough to get me to my breaking point.

"THAT'S NOT HOW YOU TREAT YOUR FAMILY! SHE IS YOUR DAUGHTER! YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HIT GIRLS! DID YOU MOTHER AND FATHER NEVER TEACH YOUR DUMBASS SELF THAT?!" I yelled, but he just stayed silent. I start to walk to the door still carrying the girl "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GOING?!" Jude yelled and I looked back at him with a death glare "I'm taking my earnings and her then getting the hell out of here" I state bluntly, he followed me down stairs as I take all of my money and begin to head to the front door "Wait!" He yells and I turn back to him, but he doesn't speak for a few seconds "You're wasting my time Jude." I say impatiently and he hits his fist on the table "ONE MORE ROUND! Whoever wins keeps Lucy and the money"

I look down at the girl and she looks at me. She shakes her head "d-don't.. he never loses... you'd lose all of your money that you earned" I look at her for a second then back to Jude "I don't care for the money, you want it back, here! Take it!" I throw all of the money at him and open the front door, but he again stops me "YOU CAN'T JUST TAKE MY DAUGHTER!" I don't even stop walking to my limo "She's not YOUR daughter. She is A daughter who doesn't have parents! Her mother died when she was little, am I right?"

Silence.

"I'll take that as a yes and her father left her after her mother died. Meaning her father became someone else, a complete stranger. You Jude.. are a complete stranger to her, she is not your daughter. She hasn't been for a while now." I get into my limo and set the girl down. I look at Jude before I close the door and tell the driver to go.
