Natsu's pov:
While on our way to the hospital, I got a text from Brett saying that him along with Nova, Keely, and Hadly are right behind us. I thank him. I look at my phone for a second. Blankly staring at it.

I should tell the group about Lucy, but what if Erza goes crazy?

I sigh and look to Lucy.

I'm so sorry.. I told you I'd protect you and never hurt you meaning mentally or physically... look what I did.. I hurt you, scared you, and probably reminded you of your past. I'm so sorry Lucy..

I grab her hand instinctively, but I don't think it was just for her comfort.. but mine as well. I felt the stares of Stella and the one dude. What the hell even is his damn name?!

I look up and look at them. Stella has hearts in her eyes as she looked at both Lucy and I. "What?" I genuinely ask, confused.

"Are the two of you dating?" She blurted out quickly, but soon got hit in the head by the dude. "OW-! The hell Aaron?!" She yelled and looked at him. He looked at me and shook his head. "I'm so sorry. She's kind of a newbie." I chuckle and sigh. "No, it's ok. She reminds me of my friend Mira. So really I don't mind it." Stella sticks her tongue out at him. I slightly smile at them. "Are you sure you guys aren't together?"

Stella blushes and Aaron is shocked at my words. "Me?! With her?! Ha!" Aaron says while Stella puffs her cheeks out. "Oh shut it airhead! Your ego is getting outta hand again!" She yells at him. He laughs her off and in the blink of an eye they go back to being serious and work on Lucy to keep her stable. Guess it doesn't hurt to have a little laugh in a serious situation.

We get to the hospital and they get Lucy out and rush her inside. I follow close behind. They check her in and rush her onto a room. Doctors and nurses came rushing into the room while some pushed me out. "Sir, you are not allowed in here yet." I hesitantly nod, wanting to say something, but I don't. She the leads me to the waiting room. "I'm sorry sir-" I shake my head. "No, I understand. I know she will be alright because.. well she's kinda stubborn." She smiles and thanks me for my understanding before walking off.

Not even 3 minutes later Brett, Keely, Nova, and Hadly rush in and see me sitting down. Nova runs to me. "Where is she?!" She yells and a few people look at her.

Geez, she's drawing attention to herself!

I stand up and lead them outside the waiting room. "Listen, I have faith in Lucy and I believe she will be fine. So I don't think we need to panic because that's the worse thing to do right now." Nova looks away and crosses her arms, beginning to cry. Keely and Hadly hug her as she cried. "If only we stayed with her.. maybe-" I stop her. "Yes this could have been prevented, but everything will be alright. I don't blame anyone here." I say as I glance at Brett. He catches it and nods.

The bad thing is that Nova also caught it. She glared at the both of us. Then her attention went only on Brett. She shook Keely and Hadly off of her. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER?! HUH!? WHY HAVEN'T THE BOTH OF YOU TOLD US WHAT HAPPENED?!" She began to walk to Brett as if she was going to fight him.

Are you an idiot Nova?! He'd kill you!

I quickly get in front of Brett. "Nova right now is not the time! Brett didn't do anything to Lucy." She scuffed. "Oh ya?! Then who did?! YOU?! If he didn't do it then you did! She had to have a reason for running up those stairs and I have a feeling it wasn't a good reason! I overheard your conversation with her! YOU PROMISED TO PROTECT HER! BUT YOU LET HER DOWN!" Everyone stayed quiet for a second until Nova snapped and went to slap me. I didn't move or flinch. I was just going to take it.

She is right. I did promise, but I couldn't keep it. This is all my fault if anyone's.

Hadly out of no where jumps in front of me and catches Nova's hand. "HADLY?! What are you-" Nova was shut up by Hadly slapping her in the face. We looked at Hadly shocked. Never did any of us think she'd had it in her. She is normally sweet and timid. So this is new to us.

Nova was more shocked then any of us. She was looking at the ground, but soon looked up to Hadly. "You don't see what's happening do you, Hadly? They hurt Lucy.. Natsu promised her.. I thought Brett was different.." she looked up at all of us with such hate filled eyes as she shed tears. "I HATE YOU ALL! I FUCKING QUIT! HEAR THAT NATSU?! I FUCKING QUIT! IT'S NOT EVEN WORTH IT ANYMORE! EVERYTHING IS SO DIFFERENT THEN HOW IT USED TO BE! SOMEONE ALWAYS GETS HURT!"

When she finished she ran off, leaving us all in shock. "I'll go after her" Keely states, but was stoped shortly after by Brett. "No I will. You guys stay here and wait" we nod and he runs off to find Nova. We walk back into the waiting room and wait patiently.

Brett's pov:
I run after Nova and she is only a bit ahead of me. "NOVA! WAIT!" She continues running with no sign of stopping. "NO! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!"

She sure is fucking fast to be 5' 3"! I'm 6' 4" so how the hell?!

She runs out of the front door of the hospital. I was getting annoyed at this point. That's when I noticed her trying to run into the street with a green light. There were lights rushing to her. She stopped, frozen in fear. She was about to get hit by a car. "NOVA!!"
