Peering out the door, I noticed that the coast was clear.

"Ok, it's clear." I noted, not daring to take a glance back at Thea and Ainsley. I slipped out of the door, taking a few cautious steps towards the inner city and keeping my eyes sharp, my pistol ready to fire. I followed Thea and Ainsley towards the forest, taking the lead once I took another glance at the inner city. Hearing steps nearby, I silently slid into the shadows, Thea and Ainsley doing the same. I held my breath as I watched two pairs of three Galra soldiers pass by, unaware of our presence. They must have switched to patrols. I thought to myself before I released my silent breath. I peered from the corner, and glanced at the disappearing soldiers, then slid along the walls with the two Olkarians at my heels, checking for Galra every other passing moment. Stopping beneath the shadows of a tall house in the outer city, I glanced back at Thea and Ainsley and smiled slightly at the fact that they were safe. They returned my smile, and I turned my attention to the grassy passage before us. Just as I took a step into the grass, a gun touched the back of my head.

"Stay where you are or I shoot." I heard a Galra voice warn, and I whipped around as Ainsley knocked the gun from my head to my side, and the Galra fired. A pain shot through my side, and a stumbled back onto the grass, having nothing else to hold on to or rest on. The Galra soldier grabbed Thea and knocked Ainsley next to me, gun pointed to me. I pressed my hand on my wound, and shakily lifted the pistol with my other hand, aimed for the heart, but shot the Galra on the arm. I quickly rolled from my spot and got up shakily, helped by Ainsley. I spotted more Galra guards coming our way, so I grabbed Ainsley's arm and made a dash for it into the forest.

"What about my sister?" he cried, distressed that we had to leave Thea behind.

"We couldn't have gotten her without one of us being shot." I shouted, panic rising in my thoughts as I thought about the endless possibilities. Ainsley tripped, falling victim to the Galra behind us. I stopped in my tracks, breathing heavy from not only my physical state but also from my mental cracks. I lifted up my pistol, unsure of my aim. I never was taught to use a pistol, only to use my fists and brain in defense situations, and to know what to do with an injury. I stared at my shaking hand holding my pistol, and fired it, unsure of the blast's direction. The blast hit the Galra guard's arm, releasing the Olkarian but another grabbing him as he attempted an escape.

"Quicknack." I cursed under my breath, making a run for it when I was about to be captured, and most likely enslaved. After a few doboshes of running and avoiding the blasts from the Galra guard, I swerved on my balls of my foot and quickly shot the guard, giving myself more time to escape and swerved forward again, making my escape. Finally making it to my plane, I hopped in and grunted at the pain in my side. I was so focused on my mission that it numbed, now that I stopped running and had gotten in my fighter plane, the pain returned to warn me I was likely to die from bleeding if I didn't do anything about it. I quickly ascended onto my track towards Altea, where-ever that was, before putting my plane on autopilot, examining my wound and bandaging it up. One moment I was eating from boredom, the next I was bleeding and running from the Galra guards. Well, that escalated quickly.
