I twisted and pulled on the cold, hard chains that held me back onto the icy floor by my hands and feet.
"Let me out of here!" I yelled, my voice echoing across the room to the Druids and Haggar.
"Oh hush child." Haggar grumbled, following a Druid that held a needle containing a serum, injected it into me, and with that, I fell somewhere between unconsciousness and slumber. I stood up, and examined my surroundings. I was no longer on the cold floor of the witch's laboratory, but in a starry place. I glowed in a blue hue, and I appeared in my regular uniform.
"Welcome to the Astral plane." I heard, and I turned around to see Haggar, appearing more in a purple hue.
"The Astral Plane?" I breathed, taking in more of my surroundings, astounded by its beauty.
"Yes, you are very lucky to be here. Only few people have been here." she said, coming slightly closer to me.
"Who have been here?" I asked, straightening my posture.
"Oh Zarkon, and two failed experiments." she explained, waving her hand, silencing any other questions as I opened my mouth. I was drenched in black ink as my world went dark again.
I gasped for air as I sat up. I rubbed my eyes and sighed. Grass surrounded me, and Altean flowers too. I smiled, and just as I was about to pick one, a scuttling mouse interrupted my trance. It scurried past me, and I caught a glimpse of its pale green, blue and white fur. I spotted a violet and purple snake nearby, and it spotted me, its barbarian eyes staring calmly, then to the mouse.
"Hurry!" I warned the mouse, glancing back and forth from the prey to the predator. Before it was able to escape, the snake shot across the field to it and with one quick bite killed it. I heavily sighed and hugged my knees. Strange that I weep for a mouse. I thought to myself as a tear streaked down my cheek. I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I looked up into a pair of light blue eyes with blue Altean markings.
"Lact!" I gasped, standing up slowly to meet near his height. He smiled sheepishly at me, and I buried my face in his chest, but tripped forward instead. I stood up straight, and sighed as I dusted off my uniform. I looked down as I do so, but saw a Galran uniform on me instead of my Altean uniform. I jerked backward, and bumped into someone. I whipped around and came face to face with a Paladin. Not one of the old ones I've been told about, but an older man with a military cut with a few white strands of hair. His dark grey eyes staring into my confused and startled navy ones. Without my command my arm threw a punch and knocked him back. I ran forward, but instead racing to his aid I raced to his death and punched him more, making him spit out blood. To my surprise I smiled in satisfaction, but then it dropped when we made eyes contact again. I leaned down, shakily, and started to inspect his new wounds and more I didn't know were there.
"I-I don't have anything to help you heal, but I'll mourn your death." I shakily said, tears pricking at my eyes.
"Heh, that's alright. Welcome to Team Vol-" he weakly laughed, but was unable to finish before his image flickered away like ashes.
I blinked my eyes open to see myself back at the witch's laboratory.
"Well, that went worse than expected." Haggar murmured, loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Why do you say that?" I asked out of curiosity.
"You kept thrashing and moving at our most important part of your adjustments!" she complained, throwing her hands up in a fit.
Heh, my bad, I am known for throwing punches when I sleep. I admitted silently.
