Jaz was quiet at first.
His silence and good looks gave him a mysterious air. But with the way he looks at things, at people, suggested an innate sense of angst and roil.
His silence went on for days, weeks, even. Although it was not the shyness-induced muteness, but a studious one, observing, and getting a grasp on his surroundings.
Oh, have I really been studying him that much?
Ugh, I shouldn't.
As he finally settled in, Jaz then started to converse, loudly, with Kobe and a few more folks from our class, and it became evident that he was jovial despite the image he was trying to build.

Our adviser then imposed a seating plan, and apparently, he was assigned to sit behind me.
I swear, I didn't know that 'til about two weeks after the said arrangement.
I hated my seat mate, and after a bit of convincing, someone else was assigned to me. And to this date, I'm still not sure if it was a good or bad happenstance.
Ethan Noche, known as the batch womanizer who'd flirt with anyone, and I mean anyone, to get in their pants, was my new seat mate.
"Hey." He said as he settled in, running a hand through his hair.
"Pathetic," I said in a hushed sneer.
He merely chuckled at my reaction, that stupid, pretentious bastard, who thinks everyone's in-love with him.
Eww.
This is gonna be one long year...

While awaiting our dismissal, Noche was showing off, trying to get the new girl, Allyssa Yuson's, attention.
Yuson wasn't exactly beautiful, but since she was new, she held people's interest.
She was shorter than average, skin slightly fair, and her hair, which was raven-hued, was kept in long, straight tresses, with a full fringe of bangs.
"If you have no interest in him, don't mind him. He's a terrible flirt and would take any acknowledgement as a sign to pursue you." I told her conspiratorially.
She simply nodded her head, refusing to speak.
Was she being rude? Or was she simply shy? Guess I'd have to find out eventually.
Oh well, she seemed nice enough. I'd like to introduce her to Annika, my best friend since forever, once I've known Allyssa better.
I bet we'd get along famously.

A/N: I felt a pressing need to publish yet another chapter today, to recompense for the chapter I hadn't posted yesterday.
Although this is very filler-like, I assure you, it isn't. The newly introduced characters would be playing important roles in the future.
I also wanted to get as much characters out there as possible while it's still early into the plot.
As you probably noticed, I give brief descriptions on all the "main" characters, except Elaine.
You see, Elaine, is me in the story, and I wouldn't want to label myself in fear of bias. I'd be giving a descriptive about myself later in the story, when I deem it fitting.
P.S.: huge shoutout to JaztineReignel and KaitlynYu for being such avid followers of the story!
