"Jaz has been asking for my number, but don't worry, I'd won't give it, and I won't like him, he's all yours." Myca reassured me, on Monday, the 23rd of September.

"Hope so, never be too sure, he always gets his way." I said.

"I'm sure, you're my friend, and I know how you feel for him. I'd just push him to like you." She insisted.

"Thanks, but I don't know about the him-liking-me part. It's just so improbable. And even if he did like me, he'd never admit it to himself, he'd insist on mere friendship. And I know he's like that, so I'd settle for it."

Classes passed uneventfully, and the guys had training, so I was stuck in the waiting area, detained till the service came.

I was texting away when Kirsten Dimaano approached me, and she talked to me about how they were playing Truth or Dare in Emerald awhile ago.

She was so thrilled that Jaz hugged her on a dare, and she was raving about how he danced and all that.

To answer your question, yes, I was, in fact, jealous.

Sure, it was just a dare, and he could hug me whenever, but I just didn't like it that he interacted like that with other girls.

She might have noticed my expression for she was suddenly concerned.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know you were together." She hurriedly apologized.

"No, we aren't."

"Then why does he always talk about you? Come on, don't deny it, I know you're together, you guys totally act like you are," she pried.

"I wish we were! But sadly, we aren't together. We're just best friends. It seems like more to me sometimes, but he'd always insist on being just friends, too scared to ruin the 'perfect friendship' we've established."

"Oh, that's too bad. We all thought you're dating. He should just get over it, you're willing to be friends again after if it doesn't work, right?" She was sympathetic now.

"Yeah, of course. Anything for him."

"It might happen, keep trying."

"I know, I could wait, I've been waiting anyway. People keep telling me to 'keep trying' as well, whatever that means" I chuckled.

The service came, and we headed home.

Me and Lance still weren't on speaking terms, neither was Jaz and Lance. He wouldn't listen to me, and he still insisted on being mad at Lance.

Guys.

Their training finished a bit earlier than usual, at 4:30 p.m., since Sir Sanco had someplace else to go to. And as expected, we texted.

It was about 7:30 p.m., in hopes of being exact, when he texted me the most mind-boggling conversation I have ever had in my whole life.

Best: Will you be my girlfriend?

Me: Nyahaha xD Nice one! Really funny!

Best: So, you don't want to? :(

Me: Quit it, it's not funny anymore, I might actually believe you. You know how much I want it.

Best: I'm serious! Will you be my girlfriend?

Me: If you're serious, you know I'd say yes. It isn't even a question anymore.

Best: So you're my girlfriend now?

Me: If you're serious? Yeah.

Oh gods, what am I doing?
