It was computer time, but since we had yet to do notes, our teacher, Mrs. Apuntar, decided that we'd stay in the classroom and accomplish our notes instead of having a hands-on activity.
We were all copying from the handouts she'd given us. I transferred to the seat beside Louise, and we were quietly chatting about random things.
The room was in idle silence, sounds were barely made, for everyone rushed to finish. Then there was the scraping sound of a chair being dragged across the tiles.
I didn't bother looking, since many people were transferring anyway, so it could be anyone.
Then I heard you.
"Sit in my place first, I just gotta say something to her." You rudely instructed the person sitting beside Lei, and he moved without question.
Here we go again.
I tried ignoring you, I didn't even point it out to Louise and I just kept writing.
Then came the soft, barely audible whispered giggles, and she was shoving you away playfully.
There, under your table, you took her hand, clasping it tightly.
Oh, how good it must've felt. She was silenced, you whispered to her.
How I wish I could've heard what you said.
Our teacher merely glanced your way, making no remarks whatsoever. Why couldn't she call you out? Couldn't she scold you for it? I knew damn well she could.
But then again, she didn't.
You had this way with people, specifically to those senior to you. You could manipulate them, almost as easily as I could, getting them to do your bidding.

"So, what do you actually see in her?" I asked Jaz. By this time, we talk quite often, and you could even call us friends. But I still loved him so, of course.
"Well, aside from her looks and the obvious, we have lots of things in common."
Things in common? Pfft, impossible, I knew he had more things in common with me.
"Like?" I prompted.
"Well, her family isn't the conventional kind. Her life is fucked-up, just like mine is."
"And?" Fucked-up family? She doesn't! Her family is great. You want screwed? Meet mine.
"There's so much more." He replied dreamily.
"If there really was more, you'd be able to actually name it. You won't keep being so vague." I said with maybe a little more than a hint of jealousy.
"I know what you're thinking. You're wrong. You think you're better suited for me? You're wrong. You think we have much more in common? Sure. There's a few things, but she's better. Better than you'd ever be for me." Oh. He was angry now. Got to admit, an angry Jaztine was hot as hell.
"Okay."
I just don't think so, I know so. Who would better suit you than a person that fell for the person you are, and not just your face?

A/N: First and foremost, I would like to apologize for not being able to post for so long, and I hope you haven't given up reading this.
And to those still faithful to the story, tell more people to read, please? 😁
Have you or have you not guessed?
This is actually the scene from the prologue part, just written a bit more vaguely, since I didn't want the exact same thing to be taken down.
Next chapter would be posted in a few hours.
