Twenty Four
I woke with a start, checked the time, damn, I was late!
I went with the usual morning proceedings hurriedly, and boarded the bus in the nick of time.
I checked my phone, excited to text Jaz.
Best: Good morning girlfriend!!! :))
Me: Good morning :)
I checked the time, it was 5:30 a.m., September 26th.
Oh. My. God.
We actually lasted a day!!!
Me: It's been a whole day already!!! :D
Best: I know, it's been one day, so, break up already? It's been a day anyway :) jk :*
Me: Not funny -.-
Best: I'm sorryyyyyy :(
Me: Ugh, okay...
Best: Be happy alreadyyy :))
Me: Okayy, but still, that wasn't nice.
Best: I know, I'm soooo sorry.
Me: You could be nice, after all xD
Best: Yeah, "I'm nice" xD
Me: Hey, that's my line! :P
Best: I know, it's so cute :>
Me: No, it isn't. It's true though :P
Best: No, it ain't.
Me: It is!!! T-T
Best: Yup, it's true, you're sooooo nice now, specially if you compare it to how you were before xD
Me: Bye, near school already, I've gotta keep my phone. I love you!
He didn't reply for a few minutes, but right before I turned my phone off, he finally replied.
Best: Bye Best-Girlfriend! I love you!!! :*
I hurriedly shut off my phone and shoved it in my bag, and got ready for my bag inspection duty (which I volunteered for daily, as well).

The day passed uneventfully as usual, and I spent most of my morning in Ruby, catching up with my old friends, Louise and Lara, along with some of the guys.
Me and Clarissa dressed for basketball training, I in my old jersey, like most of the others, she in her gym shorts and our LT shirt.
Jaz was there, sitting on a bench near the bus riders' area, watching as our training began with jogging.
We then proceeded to dribbling and handling skills training, and I kept glancing at him.
Now he was preoccupied with Lei, she was beside him now, sitting too close, and they were talking.
His face was different, I knew he still liked her then, or whatever it is that they had between them, and it just crushed me, seeing that he was there, flirting with her, and here I was, his girlfriend, watching them canoodle.
What the fuck was wrong with him?!
And Lei, what an unfeeling, cold-hearted bitch she was! How I wish she be damned to the deepest pit of hell.
Training hasn't even been an hour yet, and yet I was already performing horribly, barely focusing on the tasks at hand, my mind gripped by the treachery that unfolded, right before my eyes.
