Woke up earlier than necessary again, of course, but today was different, I was hyped because we'd be having the Varsity team tryouts later for men's basketball.
Bathed, got a jersey and shorts, and my Drose 773 shoes. And yes, I'm a fan.
I fixed my bags, and placed it on the sofa, and plopped down beside it, listening to music again.
Beep-beep!
The service was here already!
I boarded the bus, and sat in the middle row. I dozed off and when I woke the bus was full, and we were headed to school.
I hid my phone, knowing there'd be a bag inspection later. Entered school, my bag was checked, and I went upstairs.
I went inside the classroom, Lance wasn't there yet, and Alano would be late, he always was.
So I went outside, and looked for Louis, my friend from Ruby.
I was quieter than usual, me and Maan just broke up, but I was still hyped for basketball, knowing I improved immensely since last year.
Class started and it was boring. Snacks break came, and I went to Elaine's classroom, but her friends told me she already went downstairs.
Bummer, I wanted to talk to her, I'll just eat then...
Classes resumed, and I kept transferring seats, bugging people, being bored.
The two periods passed, and it was lunch break!
I ran to her classroom, and thank God, she was there.
I fixed my hair, and approached her.
"Hey" I smiled.
"Hi!" she replied, smiling and enthusiastic as usual.
"Are you gonna watch the tryouts later?" I asked, hoping she would. I didn't know why, but I loved it whenever she watched me play.
"Yup!" she said, and I ran happily back to my classroom, sure that she would watch, judging by her expression that she really wanted to.
Math was next, yes! I could sleep!
Math was too easy for me, and I never listened.
"Wake up!" Ianna, my seat mate, nudged me.
I blinked sleepily, and she told me there was a seatwork.
I was shocked, since I was sleeping, but I glanced at the board, and immediately understood the lesson.
"Ah, it's okay, it's easy!" I said confidently.
Finished it in less than ten minutes, and slept again.
I was awakened again, said that we'd be checking.
I made her check, and slept again, and when Mr. Tabada asked for the scores, I shouted "twenty!"
There were cat calls and whooping, Lance said I had the answer key, thinking I cheated.
I've had three out of four seatwork perfect, and I only had one mistake for the other.
"Math is easy!" I sleepily told lance, and kept sleeping.

Finally! We were dismissed, me and Lance ran downstairs, eager to play.
We changed into our jerseys, and rushed to the quad.
"Only five of you would be accepted." Sir Sanco, the coach said. I knew him, my mom told me stories about him (she was an alumni), and he was nice but lazy.
"Oohh!" Everyone exclaimed, shocked.
The first hour was easy, it was all drills. And for the second hour, we had scrimmage.
Finally! We'd be playing five on five.
And as usual, I was point guard. I wasn't that tall, but I jumped high, and I was fast.
We started, I didn't score, I just passed the ball.
I couldn't score till I see Elaine, I said to myself.
I stole the ball, and ran, executing a fast break, and finally, I saw her!
She was cheering for me!
Oh gods! I immediately stopped at the three point line, shot with a smile on my face, and ran back, completely sure that I made the shot. And no surprise, I did.
People cheered, she did too. I looked at her and smiled, thinking to myself: that was for her.
I made much more three's and lay-ups, and I was subbed.
I cheered when shots were made as I sat, waiting to play again.
"Bunggo," Sir called, "Sub for Fredreich!"
I ran in, giving him a high-five on his wait out of the court.
There was this guy who was good at shooting three's, Raymond Go, Elaine's classmate.
I didn't like it when people were better than me, so I kept running, scoring points, shooting three's.
Whenever I scored, I'd look at her, and hope she wouldn't notice me staring. And I don't know how or why, but I knew I felt something for her.
"Time!" our coach called. We huddled around him, and it was said that the results wouldn't come in till weeks later.
"But keep bringing jerseys so you could train already!" he reminded us.
Headed home, got my phone, and texted Elaine. We talked about the game and she kept saying I was so good.
Then I texted Louis.
Me: Hey
Louie: Sup?
Me: How was tryouts?
We talked about it, stats and all, and we had a similar conversation to the one me and Elaine were having.
Then I texted him something random.
Me: Hey, did you notice Elaine is different?
Louie: Yeah, kinda.
Me: She's so nice, bro. And she's prettier and cuter, and I think I like her somehow.
Louie. Really??????? Yeah, she looks different.
Me: I really think so, bro. But we're best friends, I don't want to ruin our friendship... Don't tell anyone about this, bro.
Louie: I won't, I promise bro.
We texted a bit more, and I fell asleep, again.

A/N: Hey guys! Jaz wrote this again! I love it when he writes, I learn so much about him.
Like how he pretended to hate me last year, but he actually kinda liked me already. Amusing, isn't it?
