(This is the same concept as the last entry, except this is actually a story rather than a random thought-train. I'm not sure why the teacher decided the football stadium was a good place to write)

They gave me a choice, and I went for the Shadow. I could have chosen anything! They had Fire, Light, even Electricity, but Shadow is what called out to me the most. I felt the pull as soon as my options were laid out in front of me. I heard snickering and whispering. The friends I had made when I came here suddenly backed away when I looked at them. I didn't make the wrong choice, did I? The Head told me to follow my soul calling, so why is everyone now glaring at me like I had just told them some evil world domination plan? "W-well! Uh... Let's welcome the newest member of the Shadow Legion!" the Head said with strain. A cautious but obligatory applause followed, none with feeling. I risked a glance at the Shadow Legion. Some had cold and calculating eyes, some had encouraging yet mysterious smiles. "I bet they all have a good reason to look so harsh," I reassured myself, though it was mostly just false hope. When the ceremony was dismissed, I was ordered to join my group for introductions. I thought I'd be stereotypically outcasted right away, but they accepted me like family the moment I stepped in. "Welcome to the Shadow," a tall spiky-haired man said, "Let's hope you're not afraid of the dark!" The man then smiled and introduced himself as Lero, the Legion Chief. A couple of others gave me their names and amused smiles, so I said my name, "I'm Rosario..." hesitantly. They immediately nicknamed me "Rose", and I felt incredibly happy with my choice. My Legion warned me about the others, how Shadows are the hated ones, but they told me they'd protect me, that the shadows stick together, and I was determined to show them all how great I could be.
