As soon as Athena could, she took off to the locker rooms. She ran into a bathroom stall and locked it, a cry falling from her lips. She sat there and cried for a few minutes, needing to just let it out. She fell silent when the rest of the girls came in, signaling that the class was over. She snuck out of the stall and grabbed her make up out of her gym bag, redoing it. She was quiet, changing into her uniform as the other girls eyed her.

Athena gave them a dirty look before walking out, the door slamming behind her. She walked to her locker and quietly opening it, setting her bag inside. She grabbed her math books before walking to her class.

People seemed to be staring now. She hated it. She did not like the undivided attention. She kept her head down, her hair falling into her face. She didn't want to see Frank, nor Ray, nor Gerard. She didn't even want to be there, but she knew her dad would literally kill her if she called and asked to be picked up.

She felt a hand grab her arm, and she was pulled into a janitors closet. When the lights switched on, she locked eyes with Gerard's beautiful hazel orbs. He looked sad as he stared down at her.

"Why?" He finally whispered, moving both of his hands to rest on her biceps.

"Why did you act like an asshole to me?" She raised an eyebrow, but she already knew the answer. He was hurting, she knew just by what Frank said. Gerard sighed, but stayed quiet.

"I want a truce." He said softly. "I'm sorry." He looked into her green eyes, sighing. "But I want to know what happened. Why you did... That." He gestured to her  thigh. Athena swallowed.

She didn't want to talk about it. She didn't want to bring up her family, her life back in the United Kingdom. So she just shook her head, playing with the hem of her skirt.

"I'm sorry, I can't tell you." She whispered, placing her hand on the doorknob. "I have to go. " don't want to be late."

When Athena tried to turn the doorknob, she cursed, seeing is was locked. Gerard raised his eyebrows, crossing his arms.

"What're you waiting for?" He leaned on the wall. Athena groaned.

"It's locked." She looked back at him. Gerard's eyes widened and he stepped forward, trying to open it as the bell ran.

"Shit." He cursed and punched it, texting Ray. "We'll be in here for the full period at least. Ray never checks his phone." He rubbed his face, a soft groan escaping his lips. Athena looked at him.

"Well? Contact another friend." She crossed her arms. Gerard shook his head. "Your brother?"

"Everyone will think that we were having sex." He huffed softly. Athena rolled her eyes,.

"Frank."

"Deleted his number. Don't you have it?"

"I left my phone in my gym bag." She sighed and slouched against the door, slowly sitting. Gerard watched her, then followed suit.

"This gives us a chance to-"

"Lets make up a secret handshake." Athena suggested in a childlike manor. Gerard raised his eyebrows, and chuckled softly.

Athena is childlike. The way she dyed her hair, how she acted in the public, she was actually pretty innocent, and anyone could see it.

"Alright." Gerard finally agreed and gestured in front of him. She moved in front of him and placed her hands together, Gerard mimicking her.

He enjoyed how funny she thought it was when he messed up, which was pretty often. He had never come up with a secret handshake, but she obviously had experience.

It took them around fifteen minutes, but they finally came up with a handshake. Gerard chuckled, watching Athena sit back on her heels.

It was funny how just earlier that day, they hated each other. Gerard was literally hurting her, and here they were, coming up with handshakes. He loved it.

"You should come hang out tonight." He said softly. Athena looked at him, biting her lip.

She didn't know if she could trust him. For all she knew, he could hurt her.

"Who will be there? Where? When? What will we be doing?" She questioned all at once. Gerard raised his eyebrows and chuckled, looking up at her.

"You, me, Ray, and our friend named Floris." He answered. "We're going down town, around eleven-thirty, and getting wasted." He said softly. Athena's eyes widened, and she bit her lip.

"What? No, no. I can't." She mumbled.

"Please?"

Athena knew that she would have to sneak out. Her dad would never allow her to go out with a group of guys. Alone. The fact Ray would be there was a relief. She trusted Ray. He seemed like a good kid. After thinking about it for another minute, she nodded.

"Fine. But you have to stay sober. Please."

"Deal."

Athena couldn't help but to smile a bit, hearing the bell rang.

"Then it's a date." She joked and smiled a little wider and stood, holding out her hand. Gerard took her hand and stood, running his fingers through his hair.

After another minute or so, the door opened, revealing Ray. The two quickly stepped out and exchanged numbers before going their separate ways.  Athena walked to her math class and explained to her teacher what happened, and thankfully the short man with a scruff understood and gave her her work. Once she had everything, she went to her locker and then down to the lunch room.

The rest of the day was long, especially because she didn't have any friends in her classes. Not until she got to last period when she met Michael Way, who was in her music class. He definitely looked like Gerard, she could tell that they were related. He seemed like a good kid. Smart, quiet, and not much like his brother.

Athena was glad when the day ended. She called her father as she walked to her locker, opening it and grabbing her stuff. She hung up after a few minutes and packed her bag. She closed her eyes and turned, locking eyes with the beautiful raven haired boy.
