"Athena!" Frank called, causing her to stop walking through the hallway of the school. She turned and looked at him, smiling softly.

"Hey, Frank." She said, walking again once he caught up to her. There had been a large bruise on her cheek, a couple of smaller ones scattered above it. All of them were hidden by a thick layer of foundation.

"Has he apologized?" Frank looked at her. Athena shook her head, looking forward.

"No, he broke up with me this morning." She spoke, no emotion in her voice. Frank sighed and glanced at her.

"And Gerard?" He asked, draping an arm around her shoulders. Athena stopped walking for a second, swallowing hard. The room seemed to spin as she closed her eyes, trying to think.

"He left me on read." She whispered, looking down. Frank sighed, pulling her body closer to his. He knew how much Athena cared about Gerard. It was obvious.

"Just give him time, Athena. He's with Lindsey still." He kissed her cheek, walking again. "Hey, the winter formal's coming up this weekend. Want to go together? As friends, of course." Athena's eyes widened, and she looked at him, nodding quickly. She was glad he asked, not wanting to go with Floris or Ray.

"Of course." She smiled, looking down shyly. Frank chuckled, walking her to her class.

"Good, because I hate seeing my best friend sad. It makes me sad." He faked a pout, causing her to laugh.

"You're so overdramatic, Frank Iero. God." She laughed, teasing him. Frank smiled and rolled his eyes.

"I need to get to class. I'll see you later."

"I'm leaving, pa! Love you!" Athena yelled and walked out with Frank. He had just picked her up. She was in a light blue cocktail dress and silver heels. Her long, dark blue hair was in curls and pinned to the back of her head. It didn't take long to get to the school. They walked in, gave the worker their tickets, and they were let into the gymnasium. She held onto his arm the whole time as kids glanced at them. Because of Floris, and now Ray, everyone thought that she lost her virginity to him. She sighed and looked around the gym. Her eyes landed on Gerard and Lindsey. They were dancing, both had smiles and Gerard was resting his forehead on hers. They looked so in love. Athena looked down, trembling slightly.

"I'm going to get a drink." She whispered and pulled away from Frank. She walked into the cafeteria and got a soda. She sat on a table, taking a sip. Ray walked over.

"Hey... Can I apologize?" He asked, fiddling with his fingers. Athena looked at him and sighed. She didn't want to listen, but she knew she had to. Ray took her hands. "I'm really sorry, Athena. I was shitty towards you and... I understand how you feel. Gerard was basically my only friend, and he hates me now."

"Fine." Athena sighed. Ray smiled, grabbing her waist and lifting her off the table, setting her on the floor.

"Why aren't you out there having fun?" He asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Athena bit her lip, shaking her head. Frank walked over and took her hand.

"Let's go dance." He smiled, pulling her away from Ray. Once they got into the gym, they started dancing together. Their bodies were pressed together. Frank's arms were around Athena's waist, holding her. Her arms were around his neck, her head on his chest. She kept glancing at Gerard and Lindsey. She still loved him. It was obvious.

Athena felt herself tear up as she pulled away from Frank. "I'm having my dad pick me up. I just- I can't be here. I'm sorry." She kissed his cheek and walked out of the gym.

Gerard saw and his eyes widened. He gave Lindsey a quick kiss. "I'm sorry, Lind-"

"Go to her." She looked up at him, a sad smile on her lips. "I know. You're meant to be. Go." She whispered. Gerard nodded and rushed out. He walked outside and saw Athena on a bench, shaking.

"Athena, it's raining. Come inside." He walked over. She shook her head, on the phone with her father. She hung up.

"He's not fucking home tonight. Of course." She groaned, holding her head. "I'm not going inside. Go back to Lindsey."

"We just broke up, Athena. Come on." He grabbed her wrist, forcing her up. She let out a squeak.

"Gerard! I said no!" She tried pulling away, but Gerard pulled her trembling frame into a tight hug.

"I'm not letting you go this time, boo." He mumbled into her hair. Athena froze for a second, then clung to him, breathing in the scent of his cologne.

"Don't ever leave me again, Gerard Arthur Way. Do you understand?" She looked up at him. He nodded and kissed her head.

"Let's go inside." He placed his hand on the small of her back, leading her inside. They were greeted by Ray, who was grinning.

"You guys made up?" He asked. Athena blushed and nodded, molding herself into Gerard's side. He laughed, wrapping his arm around her.

"You guys, too?" He asked. Ray nodded.

"Frank's still being cautious with me, but yeah." He smiled. Gerard led Athena into the cafeteria. He got them drinks and leaned on the counter as trey waited.

Athena smiled tiredly, patting his butt. "This is mine." She squeezed. Gerard chuckled and rolled his eyes. He turned to her, picking her up.

"And this is mine." He kissed her. Athena giggled and returned the kiss, clinging to him. He leaned down and kissed her neck, squeezing her ass. Athena's eyes widened. She leaned into his ear.

"Come over tonight and we can have some fun... My father isn't home." He leaned back and raised his eyebrows. She giggled and placed her head in the crook of his neck.

She kissed and sucked lightly where his sweet spot was. He growled, setting her lightly on the table.

"When is this stupid thing over?" He asked her, resting his hands on her hips. She smiled holding her phone in her hand. She turned it on seeing the time and looked back to him.

"Just a couple more minutes." She said leaning back on the light grey table, using her hands for support so she didn't fall on her back.

"Perfect." He said, putting his head in her neck and kissing up to her ear. "God I can't wait to get you home."

She giggled and pushed at his chest. As Athena was getting off the table the light flickered on, washing the gymnasium with lights.

Both her and Gerard grabbed their things quickly before rushing to his car and climbing in. They drove to her house quickly, his hand resting on her thigh massaging softly.
