Athena woke up in the morning, groaning at the pounding head ache in her head. Gerard was asleep next to her, his back facing her. He looked so peaceful as he snored lightly, his raven hair in his face.

Athena stood and quietly walked to her window, opening the curtain to look outside. She smiled, relieved when she saw that her dad's car was gone. She looked over at Gerard, her smile widening. He was beautiful, there was no denying that.

Gerard's eyes fluttered open, causing Athena to look away and distract herself with her phone. Gerard sat up, rubbing his face tiredly.

"How long have you been awake for?" He questioned softly after a moment, his eyes trained on her. Athena shrugged, looking over at him.

"Just a few minutes. Do you want anything to eat? My dad isn't here." She said softly. Gerard shook his head and sat up tiredly, sighing as he watched her every little movement.

"I'm okay. I have to get going soon. I still need to shower- I'm going to meet up with Floris and Ray to study for a Chemistry test." He stumbled to his feet. "Do you want to come? You and Floris seem to get along pretty well." Gerard joked. Athena's cheeks darkened.

Her little make out session with Floris was one of the only things that she remembered from the night. She sighed, running her fingers through her hair as she nodded.

"Yeah, I'm just going to get ready here."

The groups sat on the couches around Floris' coffee table. Athena had texted and convinced Frank to come join them so she could actually hang out with him. No one really minded; everyone got along with Frank.

"Do you want a water, boo?" Gerard asked. He was sitting on the couch opposite of Floris and Athena, his eyes fixated on her. Floris looked up and narrowed his eyes.

"Don't call my girlfriend boo." Floris looked up at Gerard, sliding his hand over to Athena's knee. Her face darkened, and she looked up at him.

"Girlfriend? I barely know you."

"And yet I had my tongue down your throat yesterday." Floris smirked proudly and looked over at Athena. She giggled, Floris squeezing her knee.

"Fine, fine." Athena agreed, pressing her lips to Floris' cheek. Gerard didn't take his eyes off of them, narrowing his eyes.

Watching them was painful. Gerard didn't want Athena with Floris. She was too innocent for him. He would hurt her, and Gerard knew it.

"Let's go to the movies next week, Athena." Gerard smiled at her, causing Athena to smile. She nodded in agreement, running her fingers through her hair.

"Alright." She nodded and smiled. "I don't think I'm doing anything." She said with a shrug. Gerard smiled and nodded, completely ignoring the death stare that he was getting from Floris.

"I'll pick you up Saturday night at six." He stood. "I need to go, do you need a ride?"

"I'm okay." She smiled. Gerard hummed innocently and walked over, pressing a kiss to her cheek.

"See ya later, sweet cheeks."

As soon as the door closed behind him, Floris let out an exaggerated sigh.

"He's hitting on you."

Athena smiled when she looked at herself in the mirror. Her hair was now a dark blue colour, something new.

She had never dyed her hair a dark colour, only pastels. But she loved it. It matched her dark eye makeup, her Adidas t-shirt and light blue jeans. She sat on her bed and tugged on her white converse before grabbing her phone and walking out her bedroom door.

As Athena was walking down the stairs, she bumped into Bert, who had just come home from grocery shopping. He grabbed her shoulders, his eyes scanning her body as he sighed.

"And where do you think you're going?" He questioned, his eyebrows raised. Athena bit her lip as he snarled. "Are you going out with your fuck buddy? Frank?"

"Dad, Frank's just a friend, I'm dating Floris." She moved his hands off of her. "And I'm going out with Gerard tonight. I already told you. We're doing a movie and some other stuff." She explained with a shrug. Bert rolled his eyes.

"Whatever. Just be back by midnight." He muttered. Athena sighed and nodded.

"I will, love you." Athena mumbled and kissed his cheek before walking out. She smiled when she saw that Gerard's pick-up truck was already parked in front of her house. She got in the passenger seat, crossing her legs.

"I'm loving the new style." Gerard chuckled softly as he started driving. Athena looked up at him, her eyebrows raised.

"That's the gayest thing I've ever heard you say, Gee." She laughed and looked up at him. Gerard chuckled and rolled his eyes.

Athena looked perfect in his eyes. She was beautiful. He could barely keep his eyes on the road, but it felt wrong. She wasn't his.

The two went to see a romcon, but sat and made fun of it the whole time. Gerard kept his arm around Athena's shoulders as they walked out, her blue raspberry slushie in her hands.

Gerard opened the passenger side door for her. Thanking him, Athena crawled in and set her drink in the cup holder. She smiled as he got in and started driving. The car ride was silent. They didn't know where they were going, not until Gerard got an idea. He pulled into a gas station parking lot and reached into the back, handing her a sweatshirt.

"Slide this on." He smiled. Once Athena had the hoodie on, he led her inside. The two walked through the isles and slid stuff into their pockets before trying to leave. As soon as they were out the door, the alarms went off, causing them to sprint to the car. They both got in, Gerard speeding off while laughing. He drove Athena home, looking over at her as he pulled up to her house.

"I had fun today." She pulled him into a small hug. Gerard hugged back, smiling.

"So did I. I'll see you Monday?" He pulled back, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Definitely."
