Where love rules [COMPLETED]

Chapter 7: LOVE OR HURT?

-WINTER-

Winter and Kinkajou flew to a small two-story tall hut. They landed on a large platform, Winter looked up at the shining stars lighting up the sky.

"-Do you want me to come with you?" Kinkajou said awkwardly.

"-No you can go sleep now. " he replied looking at the wooden front door of the hut.

He waited for Kinkajou to fly out of sight to push the door gently, not make any sound but as fast as possible, to go see Moon. Winter entered the hut and heard soft voices upstairs. He quietly walked the stairs to the upper floor.

Upstairs there was a big bed a glowing plant similar to the ones in the night village and another door led to the giant balcony. As Winter walked across the room to the balcony door he started hearing clear words, but he didn't even bother stopping to listen. He pushed the door with his talons and peeked outside. 

That's where Winter saw her, Moonwatcher, the one with silver teardrop scales near her eyes, the one that made his heart jump, the one he...loved. She was smiling and talking to someone, who was wrapping his yellow wings around Moon. It wasn't him, it was Qibli. 

Why is he here, Winter wondered, did Kinkajou make a joke, Why?

"-Remember the grumpy librarian in Possibility?" Qibli asked Moon waiting for her reaction. Moon busted out a loud laugh and leaned herself back into Qibli's wings. Winter has never seen her laugh that much in his company.

"-I don't know what I'm going to do without you Qibli. " Moon said after whipping out her happy tears. Would she say the same to me, Winter thought in his hidden corner. 

"-Moon, I wanted to tell you something..." Qibli said with a small strangled voice.

"-Anything  " Moon said looking at Qibli with her beautiful green eyes. Qibli carefully knotted his tail to Moon's.

"-I love...you Moonwatcher." Qibli finally said with lots effort, his paws trembling.

"-I love you too. " Moon said smiling again. She looked at Qibli so heartfully Winter looked away. 

Then Qibli leaned in and kissed Moon holding her tightly with his wings and talons. Winter saw the surprise in Moon's green eyes, then replaced by relief and closed her eyes kissing Qibli back passionately. Her eyelashes fluttered once, twice and talons held Qibli's tightly. Winter stood in his corner, watching and feeling his heart shatter in pieces. He watched them kissing, being more hurt than he ever thought he will be in his whole life, but this time no death or magic came to deliver him from his problems. Winter took a step back almost at the point of yelling to them. His back talon made a table move and it fell in a load crash making the two lovers turn to the noise maker.
