Chapter 16: THANKS

MOONWATCHER-

Everyone was siting in a random cave waiting for the wind to stop blowing as the ground shook from time to time.

"Um, Winter?" Moon asked in a soft, quiet voice.

"Yes!" Winter answered as if she had just woke him up from a nightmare.

"Thanks, for saving Qibli and me," she said smiling as Qibli nodded behind her.

"Thanks Winter."

"No problem, anyone would have done that," Winter said smiling back and swiftly coming closer to her so their wings touched.

Moon blushed and looked at Qibli.

What's happening?

The earthquake and now, back to the old days. 

What was the relationship between her and Winter? Friends? Love him like a brother? 

 Quit it Moon, listen to your heart!

"It's not natural, I tried using my magic, when me and Kinkajou where stuck, it didn't seem stoppable by animus power." Turtle said voice shaking.

"Who has an idea of what it could be?" Moon asked, awkwardly leaning on Qibli.

"Oh, I know! It could be Darkstalker" Kinkajou said with a creepy voice as Winter flinched like if he really believed it might be a possibility. 

"Hello?" a deep voice asked, echoing in the cave, shushing everyone.

"I won't hurt you, I promise." the voice said again.

 "Please come out, I can't go in and I need help." the voice turned sad.

"What do you want?" Winter asked raising to his feet.

"I want to find my father and mother."

Qibli slowly walked to the entrance tail high, ready to strike. Moon stayed behind him, curiosity burning.

Then they saw him, the voice. 

And he was giant. He had green-gray scales, ice-coloured horns, gray eyes and white spots on his face like freckles or snowflakes. He looked awfully like-

Moon swallowed.

 like Darkstalker. He had the same grin as him and the same twisted horns, except a different colour.

"Oh, you're many!" he cried joyfully.

"Hey, you kind of look like me," he said pointing Winter who backed up.

"I'm Darkstalker and you?" he said.

Moon looked at the others, who had the same quizzical and scared face as her. 

"What?" Kinkajou asked half a whisper. Moon shook her head, that's impossible. How? What animus magic is this?
