#Aiden Fireblaze#
Flamecaster Fortress, city of Abril
P.S. he isn't part of the twelve, but I couldn't resist writing just a teeny tiny bit of his thoughts. Enjoy! 😉
"I have prepared a feast!" I said, urging the Champions to eat.
Only five are awake as of this moment. I stared at the aura they've been sporting.
Princess Lillian Summerfield. She was covered in green light, with a slight pink, muddied with gray. A creative, hardworking and compassionate person, now muddled with fear. She might not be truthful at all times.
And I knew why. A woman's got her own secrets to keep.
Queen Silena Ladylake. Engulfed in pinkish light and turquoise, with a touch of dark blue. A virtuous person, healer by heart, yet weighed down by a secret.
What is she hiding?
Blaire Bravesky. Covered in predominant blue with a streak of purple. A master communicator, bold and charismatic. Extremely knowledgeable.
Zodiacs with blue aura are usually peacemakers, like the champions Balder and Hestia. Although there is a clear exemption. Take Loki for instance.
Cenna Watercress. This one had a purple aura with bright red highlights. A clever young man; intuitive and secretive. The red could mean an impulsive nature or an affinity to money.
Or I could be wrong.
Michael Firedrake. Engulfed in fire orange and bright blue. A goodhearted and honest man. Highly sociable and well-liked as well as a great communicator.
"Is something the matter Sir?" Michael asked. He sat on my left side, with Silena on my right.
"Nothing. I am just delighted to see something to celebrate upon."
Silena smiled. "Sir, would you be so kind to answer some questions for us? Once the others are awake, of course."
I gave her a wink. "Sure thing." Then proceeded on pulling the leg of a turkey, ignoring my resisting appetite.
"Yesh. That woll be grayt. I hab lotss of kestions fo you two." Blaire added in between mouthfuls of pasta.
"Don't talk when your mouth is full," Lillian chastised.
I let them be, eating in peace, taking them in. They were too young for the job. I hope I still have time.
My stomach churned. Forcing myself to eat, I cleared my plate with a flourish. The newly ingested food still threatened to spill out. Reaching for a glass of water, I drank. Fat mistake. The water passed through my windpipe.
"Ugh." I coughed. Once. Twice. My table napkin covering my mouth. A metallic tang coated my tongue. Blood. Crumpling my napkin immediately, I stood up, rather abruptly.
"I'll excuse myself champions. There are a lot of things I have to attend to. Please feel at home."
Lillian stood up. The others followed suit. Silena's eyes zeroed in the crumpled napkin in my hand.
"Thank you for your generosity." Lillian said.
I motioned for them to sit back down. "Feel free to dine without me. The chambermaids will be there to assist you to your quarters. I will see you at dinner."
They sat down. Lillian, ever the prim and proper, said again.
"Thank you Sir."
I just nodded, clamping my mouth shut. Right when the doors closed, I strode to the east wing. A quick turn to the right. Neon arrow signs materialized on the brown walls.
