Chapter 11

Lane's P.O.V.

------At the house------

"Mom, we're home." I said. Mom walks in. "Hi guys." said mom. "Sorry we're late. We had to drop off the gang at John's house." I said. "Its ok." said mom. "Where can I put my bags Mrs. Peters?" said George. "Just put them in the guest room." said mom. "You remember where it is right?" I said. "I remember." said George. "Ok. We'll wait for you outside." said mom. "Ok." said George. George goes puts his bags in the guest room while my mom and I go outside to wait for George.

------3 minutes later------

"Ok, I'm ready." said George. "Are both of your bags put up?" said mom. "No, we'll go put them up. Come on George." I said. "Coming." said George. We both go back to George's car, to grab our bags. George, and I grab our bags and go put them inside.

------Inside the house------

"George what about my gun. James said to keep it with me at all times." I said. "Do you still have that purse Amy and Jane got you for your birthday last year?" said George. "Yes, it's in my room." I said. "Just put the gun in there, and tell your mom that you put our wallets and our phones in there." said George. "Ok." I said. George, and I head to my room, put our bags on my bed. I grab the purse put my gun, the wallets, and the phones inside. "Lane before we go back outside I want to give you something." said George. George pulls out a pocket knife. "Cool. Thanks best friend." I said. "You're welcome." said George. I put the pocket knife in my pocket, then the both of us go back outside.

------Back outside------

"What's with the purse Lane?" said mom. "Its for mine and George's wallets and phones." I said. "Ok, get in you 2 lets go to Matamoros." said mom. We all get in the car, and head to Matamoros. "What did you 2 do today?" said mom. "Oh the usual. Go to school, learn, hang out with the gang." I said. "Ok." said mom. I can't believe I just lied to my mom. I've never lied to my mom in my whole life.

------At Matamoros------

"I'll order you 2 get the drinks." said mom. We both head to the drinks while my mom orders our food. "George, I feel guilty." I said. "Why." said George. "Because, I tell my mom everything." I said. "Technically, we did do all the things you said. You just left out the parts about the Vipers, and Fangs." said George. "It sucks that I can't tell my mom about me being in a gang with you and the others." I said. "You have to keep it a secret. All 6 of us do, its for all of our families protection." said George. "I have been protecting my mom ever since my dad left." I said. "See, you're a natural." said George. "Thanks George I needed that." I said. "Anytime best friend." said George. We both go sit down at the table with mom. "George, did you make it in time to tell your parents goodbye?" said mom. "Yes I did." said George. "Good." said mom. Just then I hear a voices coming from outside. "Mom, George and I'll be right back." I said. We both walk to the door. "What is it." said George. "I heard voices outside." I said. "Come on lets check it out." said George.

------Outside------

We both walk to where I heard the voices and see John, Henry, Amy, and Jane fighting what I think is another gang. "Is that another gang?" I asked. "Yes, they are our rivals the Ravens." said George. "Well the Ravens are hurting our friends." I said. "Come on. Just remember what we taught you." said George. "Ok." I said. "Ready?" said George. "Ready." I said. "3...2...1...now!" said George. We both start beating up the Ravens that were fighting John, and Henry. "George, Lane what are you 2 doing here?" said Henry punching a member of the Ravens. "We were inside with Lane's mom." said George kicking one of the Ravens. "I heard voices from inside, and we both came to check it out." I said kicking one of the Ravens in the groin. "Its a good thing you showed up." said Amy punching one of the Ravens. Henry pulls out his knife and cuts the leader of the Ravens and he falls to the ground. "ARGH!" said the leader of the Ravens. "1 more move and I'll stab your leader in the heart." said Henry. The rest of the Ravens stop fighting us. John walks up to the leader. "What are you Ravens doing on our territory Cameron." said John. "Just following orders." said Cameron. "Henry had me the knife." said John. Henry gives John the knife. "Who's orders." said John. "I can't say." said Cameron. John cuts Cameron on the arm. "ARGH!" said Cameron. "Who sent you here!" said John. "We got a note saying to come fight you guys. That's all I know." said Cameron. "Where's the note?" said John. "In my pocket." said Cameron. John gets the note and hands it to me. "Why give it to me?" I said grabbing the note. "You're the one with the bag." said John.

"Look, word is spreading that you Vipers have recruited a new Viper." said Cameron. "Who do you think was fighting Logan." said John. "She's good Cam. My bruises have bruises." said Logan. "Not bad for my first fight." I said. "If I ever see you or your Ravens again I'll kill all of you. Are we clear?" said John. "Crystal." said Cameron. John backs away. "NOW GO!" said John. Cameron, and his Ravens get in their car and drive away. "Lane, George you 2 go back inside. The rest of us will go home and get some rest." said John. "What about the note?" I said. "Read that note, and see what it says, come on guys." said John. "Alright." I said. "Oh, and Lane nice job. Not bad for your first gang fight." said John. "Thanks John." I said. John, Henry, Amy, and Jane get John's car and leave. "Come on lets go back inside." said George. "Right behind you." I said.

------Inside Matamoros------

"You 2 were gone for a while." said mom. "Amy called saying she needed something." said George. "Is something wrong?" said mom. "No she just needed some advice." I said. "Advice for what?" said mom. "Nothing important." I said. "Alright. Now you 2 eat your food before it gets cold." said mom. "Yes ma'am." George, and I said in unison.
