Chapter 13

Lane's P.O.V.

------In my room------

I put on a shirt that says 'music is my soul', some ripped jeans, a blue pullover jacket, and my Vans. Once I've put all those of I part my hair to the side, grab some rubber bands. "Lane, George you 2 have visitors!" said mom. "Coming!" I said. I put my hood on, grab my purse with my gun inside it, put my knife in my pocket, and walk to the front door.

------At the front door------

"Hi Lane." said James. "James? George and I were just about to meet up with you guys. How do you know where I live?" I asked. George walks in. "Hi James." said George. "Hey George. And John gave us your address." said James. "Mom this is James." I said. "Nice to meet you Mrs. Peters." said James. "Nice to meet you James." said mom. James motions for the rest of the Fangs to come out and say hi. "Mrs. Peters this is Mark, Hunter, Alex, Victoria, and Daniella." said James motioning to each of them one by one. "Hi." Mark, Hunter, Alex, Victoria, and Daniella said in unison. "Nice to meet you all." said mom. "Bye Mrs. Peters." said James. "Bye James." said mom. James, and the rest of the Fangs go to the car. "Bye mom." I said. "Bye have fun." said mom. George, and I walk out the front door and get in James car.

------In James car------

"I heard you fought the Ravens last night. How did you do on your first gang fight Lane?" said James. "I did awesome. I should have started being in a gang years ago." I said. Oh shit I forgot to read the note like John told me to. I take out the note, open it, and read the note.

Lane, we've been watching you. We know all about your past. Oh, and I'm so sorry for your lost your aunt must have been a good woman. We saw you training with The Fangs the other day and we want you to join us. If you're interested meet me outside the mall tomorrow at noon. Oh, and don't show this note to anyone. -The Ravens.

"What does that note say Lane?" said George. "Nothing." I said putting the note back in my purse. I check the time and see its 11:30. "Where do you guys want to go?" said James. "Lets to the mall I still need to look like a gang member." I said. And I need to talk to Cameron and see what he wants. "The mall it is." said James.

------At the mall------

"Come on lets go to Rue 21." said Victoria. "You coming Lane?" said George. I see Cameron standing against the wall. "I'll meet you guys there I need to tie my shoes." I said. "Alright. We'll be at Rue 21." said George. George and the Fangs walk inside the mall and I walk towards the Ravens.

"Well look who made it." said Cameron. "What do you want Cameron?" I said. "Did you read the note?" said Cameron. "No, I threw it in the trash when I got home. Of course I read your damn note!" I said. "Then you know that I want you to join the Ravens." said Cameron. "Not a chance. Look, I have people waiting for me at Rue 21." I said. I walk inside the mall and head to Rue 21 to catch up with the others.

------Inside Rue 21------

"There you are. What took you so long?" said James. "Sorry my cousin called me." I said. "Oh, Caleb called what did he want?" said George. "He told me that he was going to come down tomorrow with my aunt and little cousin." I said. "Oh cool." said George. Technically that did happen just not today. It happened this morning. While George, James, Mark, Hunter, and Alex were looking at the shoes, and Victoria, and Daniella were picking out clothes that they think I might like. I was looking at the journals, when Cameron walks up to me. "Looking at journals I see." said Cameron. "UGH! What do you want Cameron." I said. "For you to join the Ravens." said Cameron. "I told you not gonna happen." I said. I grab a journal that says 'Music forever' and head to the register. I pay for the journal and walk out of Rue 21

------Outside Rue 21------

I need to find something for George. "Where we going now?" said Cameron. "I'm going to GameStop to look for a game for George that he might like." I said. "Why?" said Cameron. "Because George and I have been best friends 5 years ago today." I said. "Oh cool." said Cameron. "Yep." I said. "Since you won't join the Ravens can I at least know a little about you?" said Cameron. "Fine." I said.

------At GameStop------

"So Lane, who do you live with?" said Cameron. "I live with my mom." I said. "Where's your dad?" said Cameron. "He left when I was in 2nd grade." I said. "What are your hobbies?" said Cameron. "I write, sing, and look at pictures from my past sometimes." I said. "You sing?" said Cameron. I spot the game 'Call of duty Black Ops 3'. "I think George will like this." I said. I head to the register, pay for the game, and walk out of the store with Cameron.

------Outside GameStop------

"You didn't answer my question Lane." said Cameron. "I sing a little. Nobody know though not even George." I said. "Why don't you tell people?" said Cameron. "Because, the only other person that has ever heard me sing, I haven't seen her in a long time." I said pulling on my jacket sleeves. "Lets go to the food court." said Cameron. We both head to the food court.
