Mom's P.O.V.

"Just know the large guest room is already taken." I said. "By who?" said Rue. "You guys remember Lane's best friend George right?" I said. "Yes he's a good kid." said Rue. "Yep he's cool." said Caleb. "Well, his parents are in Boston for business, and I offered to let him stay here until his parents get back." I said. "Where is he?" said Rue. "He has some business to take care of. He'll be back around 8:00" said Lane. "Ok." said Rue. "Caleb, Connor, go put the bags in the small guest room." said Rue. "Ok." said Caleb, and Connor in unison. Caleb, and Connor take the bags to their room. "Lane, can you get the inflatable mattress from the attic and take it to the small guest room?" I said. "Sure." said Lane. "I'm going too." said Cameron. Lane, and Cameron go get the inflatable mattress from the attic.

"Riley, did you tell Lane that Max is going to the funeral?" said Rue. "Yes." I said. "Well, how did she take it?" said Rue. "Not good. She's still mad at him. She said she'll only give us 2 minutes to talk to her." I said. "So you 2 are finally going to tell Lane the truth after 14 years." said Rue. "Rue, I saw him." I said. "You did not." said Rue. "Yes I did I saw Michael at Lane's school when I went over there to tell Lane about her aunt." I said. "I don't even know why you're planning the funeral she was Max's sister, he should be planning the funeral." said Rue. "Rue, I just told you that I saw my son for the first time in 14 years and you're talking about Max." I said. "Sorry Riley. How exactly did you see him?" said Rue. "I was on my way to Lane's English class. When I saw him walk out of his classroom. He saw me, stopped and told me hi and introduce himself." I said starting to cry. Rue wipes off my tears. "What did you say?" said Rue. "I couldn't say anything. I could barely tell him hi. I walked away because I was about to cry." I said.

"Do you have his adopted parents numbers?" said Rue. "Yes." I said. "You should invite them to the funeral." said Rue. "I did. I called them this morning." I said. "How do you think Michael will react when he finds out that he introduced himself to his mom, and he didn't know?" said Rue. "Don't worry, I have a plan." I said. "What is it?" said Rue. "When I called Michael's adopted parents, I told them that Lane, and I wanted to meet him." I said. "What did they say?" said Rue. Just then Caleb, Connor, Lane, and Cameron walk in. "What did who say?" said Lane. "Grownup stuff, we're going outside. When Rue and I are done talking we'll all go to the mall." I said. "Sweet!" they all said in unison. Rue and I walk outside.

------Outside------

"Ok, what did Michael's adopted parents say?" said Rue. "They said that's a great idea. I told them to meet us at the mall, and that you, Caleb, and Connor are going to be their." I said. "I finally get to see my nephew. Caleb, and Connor will probably just be happy to have another cousin." said Rue. "Yep." I said. Just then Lane walks outside. "Yes Lane?" I said. "George just texted me telling me that him and the gang are done with their business and are going to meet us at the mall." said Lane. "Good. You can introduce John, Henry, Amy, and Jane to your aunt and cousins." I said. "No its not good." said Lane. "Why not sweetie?" said Rue. "Because, if the gang sees Cameron hanging out with us then they'll hurt him." said Lane. "Why would they do that?" said Rue. "Lane is it ok if I tell her?" I said. "You can tell whoever as long as its not George and the gang." said Lane.

"Cameron and his friends hate Lane's friends but not Lane." I said. "Why do they not hate Lane?" said Rue. "Because they want me to join their group." said Lane. "I told her to choose the group she thinks is the right one." I said. "I have an idea. Lane, tell your friends to meet us in front of the mall." said Rue. "Ok, what about Cameron?" said Lane. "Did you show him the message?" I said. "Yes. He's looking for a hat big enough to hide his face." said Lane. "Tell Cameron to stop looking for a hat, and to text his friends to meet us at the front of the mall." said Rue. "Ok." said Lane. "And tell the boys that we're ready to leave and to get in the car." I said. "Ok." said Lane. Lane goes back inside and does what Rue and I told her to do. Rue and I go back inside to get our purses and the 5 of us get in my van and head to the mall.
