If only it was true.. But I don't think it will ever happen. The next day I met up with Jessi and Nicole before school so we could walk together to school. When we got there, we waited until the bell rang. "Umm.. Maya I think I should tell you something" Nicole said. "What is it?" I asked. "Well, we heard that Lexi is planning a huge humiliation for you.. Wait for it." Jessi said. "But I don't care as long as Alex and I are together. Well, close friends." I said. I really don't care what she says. First period, Alex and I sat together. "Alright class, for our next project we will need partners. Pick your partners now." Alex and I looked at each other immediately. Once we got started with the project, we both heard people spreading rumors that we're dating.. They think we're dating!! Oh my gosh!! I want to but I don't know if he does.

ALEX POV

So, today Maya and I were partners in social studies. People were gossiping about Maya and I dating! I would like to date her but she probably doesn't want to date me.. Before we left 1st period, I asked her of he wanted to hang out at the movies on Saturday. "Yeah!" She said. The last time I went to the movies was with that psycho girl Lexi. Speaking of her, I've heard a rumor that she's going to humiliate Maya big time. I don't want that to happen to her! She's safe with me.

MAYA POV

Oh my gosh he asked me to go to the movies with him!! I can hear my heartbeat in my ears. I can't wait until Saturday! At the end of the day I still had a huge smile on my face. I sat where I usually sit in choir and.. Uh oh.. Lexi sits next to me. "Wait for it Maya. Just wait." Then she got up, flipped her hair, and walked away. She's such a brat. What's the worst she can do to me?
