Dean's POV
Jennifer was hot and all but honestly, Valerie was hotter. I'm king of the school. I was sure I could pull any girl with the snap of my fingers, but I had never really snapped them for Valerie. I had always known she was incredibly attractive but she was shy so I never noticed her.
Staring across the lunch room at her, I had a clear view of where she sat. She was talking to her friends and I stared at her discreetly and waited for her to look back. Eventually, she did and when she did, I immediately half smirked and then winked at her. She shifted uncomfortably and stared down at the table. I was still looking and when she looked back up at me, she mentally panicked. I watched as Vic wrapped his arm around her. She snapped her head up, fawn eyed, and nodded her head at him and he kissed her cheek. I rolled my eyes.
"Dean!?" I turned my head to face Jennifer who looked aggravated.
"What, Jennifer?"
"Are you okay? You're just staring off, it's creepy." I rolled my eyes once again and shot a quick sideways glance to Valerie who was now laughing with Vic. Jennifer didn't notice and when I looked back at her, she had the same aggravated look.
"Yeah, I'm fine." The rest of lunch went smoothly. I had a plan cooked up and I was ready to go. I actually had my last class near Valerie, who had her last class with Vic. I just needed to seperate them and talk to her.

Seperating Valerie and her boyfriend was actually a lot easier than it should've been. Blah, I guess you could say it took the fun out of it, but okay.
Anyways, she told Vic she needed to use the bathroom and I blended with the crowd while she went into the bathroom and I leaned against the wall and waited. It was Wednesday and everyone was eager to get out the school. As the halls were clearing, I watched her shaking her hands dry and as soon as I saw her, I grabbed her body and pulled her back into the bathroom swiftly. No one noticed.
There was a lock on the door and I twisted it to the right so no one could come in. She looked scared but her expression calmed when she saw it was only me. Her expression then freaked out again when she saw it was me.
"Dean, what the hell!?" She backed up a little and I ended up backing her all the way to the opposite end of the bathroom. She hit the wall and was pressed up against it uncomfortably. She crossed her arms and kept to herself and as soon as I looked in her green eyes, I remembered.
~*~*~
I knocked on the door to my friend, Andrew's, house. His mother answered the door and let me in.
"So glad you could make it, Dean! Me and Mr. Martin are stepping out to get the cake. If you could tell the party that, I would appreciate it."
"No problem, Mrs. Martin." She left the house with Mr. Martin and I walked into the family room where a bunch of twelve-year-olds were sitting and listening to music.
"Hey, Drew. Happy birthday."
"Thanks, Dean."
"Yeah, your mom left with your dad to pick up the cake." I surveyed the room and saw a pretty equal amount of girls and boys and one girl I recognized as Tabby, pitched an idea.
"Truth or dare! I go first!" The whole party sat around in a circle. Just us seventh graders playing around, having harmless fun. When it came back around to Tabby's turn to ask somebody, she spoke to a girl named Valerie.
"Dare." Valerie's big emerald eyes danced with confidence and Tabby had a devious smile on her lips.
"I dare you to kiss..." Her eyes looked around the room and locked on mine. Her smile spread even wider.
