Tuesday morning I woke up and got ready for school. I threw on some shoes and shoved my books and homework into my back pack. I swung my back pack over my shoulder and walked out the door. Thank God we only had a few weeks of school left.
I jumped into my truck and drove to the school. First thing I had to do was look for Ashton and Dana. I jumped out of my truck and strolled up to the school. I felt a hand grab my shoulder and pull me into a vacant classroom. I swung around and was embraced in a hug immediately. It was Dana and she was rambling on about a ton of different things.
"Oh my God we thought you were dead! Carlo said that you couldn't have survived the tree and that he couldn't feel you!" (Animagi can feel each other's inner animals) "Ashton has been freaking out and the twins have been trying to sniff you out!" Dana rambled. I finally grabbed her and separated her from me.
"Hey, I'm okay! I'm right here!" I said trying to soothe Dana.
"Yeah well when you didn't show up yesterday we feared the worst!" Dana said.
"Well I should probably go and find Ashton then, huh?" I said turning and walking out of the class.
I walked to Ashton's locker and waited there. Luckily my locker was right next to his so that it didn't look suspicious. When I finally saw Ashton I put on my hood and looked away. Ashton walked up and opened his locker. He had no emotion.
"Honestly Thwigs aren't an issue for me you should have known that," I whispered to him so that the people passing by wouldn't hear.
Ashton looked at me with wide eyes and suddenly realized who I was. I took my hood off and smiled at him.
"You seriously let me believe that you were dead? That's selfish," Ashton said even though he embraced me in a hug.
"Well seeing as of how my phone disappeared I couldn't do anything," I said wrapping my hands around him.
"That's odd. Thank God you're alive though," Ashton said finally letting go of me. The bell rang and we both dashed off for class. God he seemed relieved to see me. That's weird.

"Hey my Animagi friends," Dana said coming over and sitting down by us at lunch. The twins were also sitting across the round table from us. The whole school had the same lunch time because the school was small enough.
"I wouldn't be so quick to assume that we are friends," Ashton mumbled. Dana punched him on the arm and sat between Brooke and Ashton.
"Well we fight Thwigs together and you're the reason I'm in this mess so I am willing to quickly assume that we are friends. If you want to get technical on the subject of friends I could always see if there is a book in the library under the name of "Signs That Signify Friendship," Dana said smiling.
"You're a piece of work, you know that?" Ashton said smiling.
"So Ashton, I was going to ask," I started but wasn't quite sure how to finish the sentence. "Why did you, uh, go full psycho in my house?"
"What?" Brendan said coming to immediate attention. "Did little Ashton snap?" He taunted.
"You let out your animal?" Dana whispered. Her eyes got wide.
"Yes alright, I did so drop it," Ashton said looking away.
"Why?" Brooke asked in her soft quiet voice.
