"My legs hurt! Ashton freaking attacked me!" Brendan complained.

"What do you think we are here for? Manicures and pedicures?" Ashton said nudging Brendan.

We had all been fighting for five hours straight. We were all bleeding, stiff, and exhausted. I had just finished a fight with Dana and Brooke.

"Can't we take a break, Carlo? We are all exhausted!" Dana said. Ashton, Brooke, and Brendan all nodded in agreement.

"Right after one more fight. I'll be fighting," Carlo cut off and looked at all of us. Finally his eyes rested on me.

"How about Wren? You look the least beat up," Carlo smiled and I swallowed. He was definitely going to kill me. Come on! I had been on his good side since I got my ability!

"Do you really hate me that much?" I asked. I was determined to give Carlo a few scratches before he killed me.

"Eh, you're not my favorite," Carlo said, smiling a toothy bear grin. Wonderful, he was going to rip my throat out. I stepped towards Carlo bravely and looked into his extremely blue eyes. Has he always been that big?

"Go," I heard Ashton breath. He knew I was going to die too.

Before Ashton had even finished the word, Carlo was flying at me. I sidestepped easily and spun around. I swiped my claws down Carlo's snout. He growled and lunged for my neck. I flattened myself to the ground as Carlo flew over me. I stood up and turned before Carlo could even regain his footing. I jumped onto his back quickly and hung on tightly. Carlo swung up his paw to try and grab me and his claws grazed my leg. I climbed higher onto Carlo's back, to his neck, and bit his scruff and pulled back. Carlo reared up onto his back legs and I almost fell off. I tightened my grip and hung on tightly.

That's when I realized what Carlo was doing.

I felt Carlo tip back a little and I wasn't fast enough before I felt the hard ground on one side of me and Carlo on the other.

Carlo stood up off of me and I laid limp. Carlo slowly walked back to me and I stayed still.

"You killed her!" Brooke said. Ashton drew in a sharp breath and Dana shuffled her feet.

Carlo ignored her until he was standing right over my body and sniffing me. I quickly jumped up and latched onto his face. My muscles yelled in protest as I held on for dear life. Carlo swung his head around, trying to get me off. Finally Carlo backed into a wall and fell onto his stomach. I jumped off and pranced in front of him.

"I win," I said with a happy purr. Carlo had a disapproving frown on his face but his eyes shone with pride.

"Playing dead, good trick. Where did you figure that one out?" Carlo asked finally standing up.

"I kind of thought of it on my own," I said. Ashton and Dana ran up to me and congratulated me. We were all still in our animal forms. Dana brushed against me.

"Nobody has beat Carlo except for Ashton!" Dana said happily. I felt excitement rise in me.

"Alright, go chill out for a while. You guys have earned it," Carlo said. Was that a compliment? No it couldn't be. Carlo doesn't compliment people.

"Finally!" Brendan cried and flopped onto the floor. Dana hopped onto the couch and I followed in close pursuit. We had been instructed to all stay in our animal forms in case of emergencies. Ashton jumped onto the couch as well. We were all able to fit comfortably since I was rather small and Dana was also when she was curled into a ball, which she was.
