I sat by Ashton's bed and read my book. I had volunteered to watch him since I only got two hours of sleep. I couldn't stop thinking about that voice. Had the Thwigs talked to me? Is that even possible?

The one with great power? Was that me? What kind of powers did I have other than the fact that I was an Animagus?

All the questions were starting to make my head hurt. I closed my book and rested my head in my hands.

"Ow. Where the hell am I and what the hell happened?" Ashton asked, his eyes still closed.

"Your at my house and you almost got yourself killed," I said. Ashton opened his eyes and looked at me.

"I'm aware of that. How did we get out of there?" Ashton asked, sitting himself up.

"Uh," I started but Dana walked in and finished that.

"Wren saved you actually. She figured out where you guys were and fought off the Thwigs," Dana said.

"How?" Ashton asked. His eyes clouded with exhaustion.

"Uh, lucky guess I suppose," I said. I probably looked a little suspicious so I stood up and walked out of the room and downstairs to make some breakfast. It was 6 am and I wasn't used to getting up this early. Even on school days.

I grabbed a bowl, some cereal, milk, and a spoon and soon had a bowl of cereal and was sitting on the edge of the table.

"Hey, tables are for glasses, not asses!" Dana said coming down the stairs. I scowled at her and shoved a spoonful of food in my mouth.

"Alright cut the crap. How did you know where they were?" Dana said also sitting on the table.

"Hey ass master, get off the table," I mumbled, ignoring her question.

Dana squinted at me and gave me the 'tell me or I'm going to shove your ass off of this table' look.

I sighed and looked at her. "Can Animagi talk to Thwigs? Or can they talk to us?"

Dana raised one eyebrow and said, "No, we can't understand them but they can understand us sometimes. Where did that question come from?"

"I was just curious," I said. Dana opened her mouth to say something but luckily that's when Carlo came down the stairs. His dark brown hair was sticking up in places and he had a burn on his neck.

"Alright girls, Ashton will be down for at least two days. We need to be productive. I'm going to go check out the scene at the school, care to join?" Carlo asked. I nodded and Dana jumped up.

"What about Brooke and Brendan?" I asked as I put my bowl in the sink and shoved on my shoes.

"They're staying here just in case anything happens," Carlo said, walking out the door. What was that supposed to mean?

Dana and I followed Carlo to his truck. I got shotgun and Dana sat in the middle seat behind us.

When we got to the school you could barely tell it was a school, let alone a building. There were fire trucks and people everywhere. Half of them were kids that where supposed to be here for school. Dana and I looked at each other and knew what to do without being suspicious.

We both jumped out of the truck with fake worried expressions and ran to one of the firemen.

"What happened to our school?" Dana asked, a note of horror in her voice. Tears where starting to brim in her eyes.

"We don't know yet. It's just like what happened with the police station. There doesn't seem to be anything that would have caused this. You girls just need to calm down and go home," the man said. I sniffed and nodded. Dana and I both turned and walked back through the group of people but we were stopped by a voice.

"Galloway! White!" A man that I didn't recognize ran towards us. By the expression on Dana's face, she didn't either.

"I'm Scott. I was wondering if either of you girls could help me," Scott said. As I stared at him longer my brain started to recognize him but I couldn't figure out where from.

"You see, I'm looking for a cat," Scott started.

"Sorry but we can't help you out on this one," Dana said, rolling her eyes.

"Wait, it's not just any cat. It's an ocelot," Scott said. That's when I recognized him. Oh God. I took a side glance at Dana but she showed no expression.

"An ocelot? Around here? That's impossible," I said. Scott nodded.

"Yes I know but it's true. Here," Scott handed Dana a paper that had a picture of an ocelot with bright blue eyes. It looked just like me. In fact, it was me.

"Let me know if you see it," Scott said and walked away. I turned to Dana but she was already walking back to the truck. We jumped in and Carlo looked at us.

"You two are quite the actors-" Carlo was cut off.

"How could you let a human see you in your form?!" Dana bursted out angrily.

  Carlo squinted his eyes. "What?"

Dana shoved the paper in front of Carlo. Carlo looked over it and his face got angry.

"Wren! That was a rule! Never let a human see you in your human form! Ever!" Carlo roared angrily. I shrunk back a little.

"If someone finds out about us there will be no more us!" Carlo kept yelling.

"I know! I understand what I did!" I yelled back.

"You obviously don't! You agreed to a lot of conditions when you got your ability! You can't just go and throw all of this away! We need you, especially right now! Get your head in the game or get out of the game!" Carlo yelled. Finally satisfied he started the truck and drove to my house. In the mirror I could see an almost guilty look on Dana's face.

We pulled into my house and I jumped out of the car and slammed the door. I was pissed. No, I was beyond pissed. I flew open the door and ran up to my room. I slammed the door and grabbed a pillow off of my bed and threw it at the wall. I could feel it, my inner animal. It wanted to come out. I took a deep breath and walked out onto my balcony. I would not lose control, I would not lose control.

I looked down at the ground. I wonder if a jump from this high up would kill me?

"Wren?" Dana asked coming into my room.

"Get out!" I yelled at her. I definitely didn't want to see her right now.

"Wren, I know you don't want me to say this, but Carlo is right. You put yourself and all of us in danger. You can't do that if you want to be an Animagus-"

"Maybe I don't want to be an Animagus anymore, Dana! Maybe I want to be a normal kid! I can't take this stuff anymore! I hate lying to my parents!" I yelled at her.

"Your parents don't care, Wren!" Dana yelled. I felt my mouth drop open and my eyebrows dropped. Dana realized what she said.

  "Wren, I didn't mean-"

"Get out. Get out and leave me alone," I said turning my back to her and walking back to the balcony.

Dana sighed and then I heard the door open and close. That's when the tears brimmed in my eyes and I crumpled to the ground. Dana was right. Carlo was right. I wasn't meant for this. I screwed everything up.
