Help me//Reddie

Richie's POV-

     I don't understand why I lied to Eddie about liking him.

      I get a text from Bev,

    Bev:Tye party starts at 8:00 so we should probably go at 8:30 or 9

    Richie:Ok that sounds good

    Bev:Do you actually like Stan?

    I look at that text. Bev is my best friend and I think she deserves to know the truth but on the other hand I don't want to ruin my friendship with Eddie because I know Bev will tell him.

     Richie:Ya

    Bev:But you told me you liked Eddie!

    Richie:Idk I thought I did

    Bev: but Stan never talks to you!!!!

   Richie:I gtg bye Bev

   Bev:ok met me at 8:30 out side me house

   Richie:ok c u later

    Bev:Bye

    I text Eddie saying when to meet and where. I then walk over to my closet to pick something to wear.

    I guess I will just wear a pair of black jeans with a red crew neck.

    I look in the mirror and see the bags under my eyes. Why can't I sleep! Is it because of my pills? They make me so tired all day and then I can't sleep at night.

    But I guess the pills are just 'helping me'

  

    I grab my glasses and put them on. I walk down stairs to see my mother and father.

    "Hey Richie." My mother says. I already know how this conversation is going to go, she's all sweet and then she will bring something up and then tell my that somethings wrong with me but I don't care anymore.

    "Hey mom. I'm going to Bev's and I don't know when all be home so bye." I say quickly putting in my shoes and begin to open the door.

     "Wait,were are you going?" She says.

"To Bev's, just to hang out." I say. I look at my father. He's just sitting there reading the news paper. I hate him so much and I know he hates me,too.

"Ok...anyone else?" She asks.

"Eddie will probably be there too." I say. I can't tell her I'm going to a party she won't let me go.

"Ok,I'm glad you're making some friends." She smiles. I just nod and leave.

   

    I walk slowly down the street dreading the thought of seeing Eddie and him thinking I like Stan.

    You ruined anything chance you ever had with him! I tell myself, Now he'll never like you!

The whole way to Bev's a scold myself.

I finally get to Bev's and I knock three times on the wooden door. She opens it and smiles.

"Hey,Richie. Come in." She says. I walk in and see Eddie standing there. He looks up at me and smiles.

"Hey Eds." I say.

"Hey Rich." He responds. I smile.

"Ok,lets go!" Bev says. I can tell she's excited because she's never been to a party and neither have I but there's a reason I don't go to party's. Henry Bowers.
