My week was spent well, I caught up on things with my family. But today we had to set off to army camp. We saddled our horses and set off.
When we arrived at the camp we were relieved to see it was as we left it. "No raids then" Tristan muttered. I smirked, we dismounted our horses and tied them up. Many soldiers were there already.
"Arianne! Tristan!" shouted Joe, the bulky man they met on our first day "We need you to hunt" I sighed and Tristan rolled his eyes "Fine" I groaned and we walked into the forest. The result of that day's hunt was a stag and seventeen rabbits. We dragged them back to the camp and gave them to Joe. This was our day to day life. Wake up, go hunt, eat, train, go to sleep. That's my routine. I wondered when it was going to change.
When the stew was done we ate. Then according to my routine we had to go and train. And train we did. The archers now had to practice firing arrows bull's eye on our horses. They spooked easily, the first time I fired at the target, Arion reared and I fell off. To the amusement of many soldiers. But Arion was getting better and after hard practising he could gallop while I fired. Tristan's horse was grumpy today and bucked whenever he fired.
I got laugh out of it. But his horse got happier when Tristan gave her some Oats and now he could fire without getting bucked off.

We were all sitting and just talking when a roan horse, with a strange rider, ran in and almost hit a few people and put out the fire. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" Joe yelled. "Sorry!" The rider squeaked. The horse began to rear and buck. Some people stared at me. Yeah, I had a way with horses but sometimes they're too crazy. Even for me.
That stupid horse had almost stood on our weapons when I just managed to hit it hard on the neck. It stopped. "Get down." I sighed at the rider. She was a young girl about my age. She had golden blonde hair, which was perfectly brushed and styled. I smirked 'That isn't going to last long here.' I thought. Her eyes were grey and light. Her skin wasn't going to last long here either. Soft and rosy. She looked quite innocent too. "What are you doin' 'ere?" Joe snarled at her. She gave a soft, obviously not frightened squeak. Mixed with a sigh, she began to speak. "I was looked for a home." She simpered. I patted the horse and as the girl's sob story was getting on my nerves, I let the horse take care of it. That provided some entertainment.
After that she was snapping and miserable. "I'll go and get the King." I sighed. She gave a haughty laugh. "Like he's going to listen to a rat like YOU! I think he'd rather talk to a lady. To hear the real story." My blood boiled. "Say that again." I stopped in my tracks. My bow and arrow lay near my feet. "You are a little rat!" She snarled. My insticts kicked in. I grabbed my bow and arrows and prepared one and held it to her forehead. She simpered AGAIN! "What on earth is going on?" The king had appeared. Tristan came up to him. "That girl insulted Arianne, and now Arianne is going to kill her." He smirked casually. "Why did you insult one of my trusted archers?" The girl simpered, "She called me a rat. Twice." I snarled.
"Well you girl are no use to me. Leave at once." The king ordered the girl. The girl squeaked. "Please no! I can't leave. I search for a home-" The king seemed angrier, "This is no home for you." "Wait!" the girl squeaked, "I can train and become a soilder. I mean, if she can do it. " She glared at me. "It must be easy." My hands clenched into fists. I breathed heavily and picked up my bow and arrows. "I'm going to go and kill something." I muttered as I headed for the dark forest.
