7th Grade; Field Trip (Part 1/3)

T.W: Panic Attack

Virgil's POV

I was remembering last night when I woke up, him carrying me to bed, and saying I love you. My face started to heat up.

"Are you okay?" Roman asked me. I hadn't noticed that he was awake, and staring right at me.

"Umm...y-yeah." Was my stupid response. Why am I such an awkward person?

"I dont believe you what's wrong?" He continued, I looked at him, right into those beautiful brown eyes.

"It's nothing. Why's it so cold in here?" I asked him, it was my excuse for him hug me, which he did.

"Better?" he asked me, I nodded and then tried to sleep again.

"You know that we have to go to school right?" He asked me.

"Uggg, do we have to?" I groaned, I didn't want to get up.

"Yes, we have to turn in the slips, remember?" He got up, and then waited for me to also get up, as if he knew that I was just going to attempt to go back to sleep if he left me here.

"Fine, I'll get up." I slowly got up, and then changed into clothes that weren't pajamas.

"Kiddo's it's time for breakfast!" Patton called us down the stairs.

So we made our way down. I was still quite tired, but I pushed through considering that I had to go to school anyways.

We ate breakfast, Patton drove us to school, my Dad was already at work. And now we were at school, unfortunately. Roman and I went to our lockers first, just talking. It was going fine, I felt like people everywhere were laughing and talking about me, but listening to Roman's voice snapped me out of those thoughts.

And then we just went through all of our classes, and it went by like that. And then we got to our last class, which was with Mrs.Hoy, and I was still a bit scared that I was going to get in trouble.

"Hey, Virgil, you're not going to get in trouble. Okay?" I looked up at him and nodded, even though I didn't believe him a full 100%, more like 90%. But still, just him telling me that calmed me down, like normal.

"Okay." Was my response.

We walked into the classroom, Mrs.Hoy was standing outside her door to collect slips, which we both turned in. I was about to walk in, right after Roman, but the teacher stopped me before I could follow him.

"Virgil?" Roman turned around to look at me, and then stopped, he walked up next to me and grabbed my hand for comfort.

"Sorry, I just wanted to make sure you were okay. You're not in trouble, I want you to know that." She told me, I looked up at her and smiled, acknowledging her.

"It's fine." I told her, she smiled sympathetically.

"Im glad to see that you're going on the field trip." She told me, and then let me through.

"I wouldn't be going if Roman wasn't coming with. Do we get to choose our roommates?" I asked her, if I couldn't stay with Roman I wasn't going.

"We are going to go over some rules today. And plans." She told us, and then we all walked in.

We were about five minutes into class, and she was just starting to get all the kids to settle down.
